LoniceraJaponica · 30/01/2019 07:12

Hundreds. I am from a railway family and have travelled by train all over the UK and Europe, Russia and Morocco. 6 seems very low. Do you drive everywhere?

Ifailed · 30/01/2019 07:13

I can only assume OP is using the phrase "been to" in a novel and unusual way.

Reccy2018 · 30/01/2019 07:17

I don't drive, so literally 100s.

ScreamingValenta · 30/01/2019 07:20

I'm a non-driver, so hundreds around the world!

RedForShort · 30/01/2019 07:23

1,864

Won't name them for obviously reasons.

ScreamingValenta · 30/01/2019 07:29

... my username comes from standing on railway station platforms!

concernedforthefuture · 30/01/2019 07:33

Over 100 without a doubt

hugoagogo · 30/01/2019 07:36

Tons, I am now interested in compiling a list, but I will have to go to work!

HeronLanyon · 30/01/2019 07:47

red Grin I was suffering some insomnia last night and though ok here goes. Then for first time in my life after dealing with London and southeast and already over 200 without any tube stations and with uk andneurpoe and India and America etc etc still to go genuinely thought ‘life is too short for this’.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 30/01/2019 07:57

Almost all of the major ones in England, plus many of the smaller ones and a lot of underground ones too.

Internationally, Chaing Mai, Bangkok, one in the French alps that I can't remember the name of, Barcelona, Madrid.

exexpat · 30/01/2019 08:00

Has the OP's account been hijacked by a small child who is keen on trains?

ForgivenessIsDivine · 30/01/2019 08:01

I'm a train geek! Have inter railed all round Europe, taken over night trains in Africa, Russia, Mongolia and India.

SinceYouAskMe · 30/01/2019 08:01

8 mainline stations in London, then maybe 30 or 40 smaller overground stations in London (of the 330 listed on Wikipedia). Probably less than 10 in Europe. In the UK outside the M25 the numbers get too big to count. I’m staggered that any adult can have only racked up 6.

ILiveInSalemsLot · 30/01/2019 08:04

Loads. Uk and Europe.
I love travelling on trains.

Who would be able to name them all? Do you note them somewhere? There's no way I could remember all the train stations I've been to all my life in all the countries I've been to.

As per the airport thread, I'm always wary of posters who are always asking for information

My guess is that the OP is looking at how much effort how many people will put into posting completely pointless information. quite a lot it seems.

For both stations and airports for me it is more than some, less than others but CBA thinking about it, trying to remember, or posting.

Most obscure might be San Roque in Andalucia.

Think that's exactly it Grin

LinoleumBlownapart · 30/01/2019 09:40

Blimey, hundreds and hundreds. Probably nearer to a thousand.

WrapAndRoll · 30/01/2019 09:42

They are "railway stations" not "train stations" IMO, so none.

lubeybooby · 30/01/2019 10:12

ok I'll bite just so I can laugh at myself for sitting here thinking about it Grin

I don't drive so a fair amount I imagine... only counting ones I've actually been to or changed trains at
