What do you think will be the next big thing?

Not a TAAT as such, but inspired by the bored of salted caramel thread.

We've had pulled pork everything, salted caramel everything, and all alcohol became first Prosecco and then gin. Donuts are big and before that people charged a fortune for cupcakes. Accessories were unicorns and flamingos, now llamas and cacti.

What's next, do you think?

Artisan gherkins? Poutine? Wombats?

If I could choose, right now I would probably douse everything in nacho cheese.

Definitely rum, according to a friend who should know. I like a Cuba Libre as much as the next person, but I won't be changing my name Wink

Muffster · 30/01/2019 02:17

@Spoonblender yes fingers crossed for men shoes and poutine

Definitely order the 7 Fathoms for a treat; it’s the smoothest thing in the Caribbean Grin

Muffster · 30/01/2019 02:18

@RedWineIsFabulous your user name speaks my truth Grin

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 30/01/2019 02:27

I’m voting for plated pubic hair, eyebrows which make you look like Spock, or deep fried hamsters

Muffster · 30/01/2019 02:48

Plants everywhere, Art Deco, copper not chrome or rose gold, curved and mismatched but highly sensory tactile interior design, grow your own veg, snuggling and sanctuary, privacy, and social media lockdown. Are my top tips.

MawkishTwaddle · 30/01/2019 02:58

Quokkas.

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 30/01/2019 03:01

After reading this thread the future looks amazing!!! 😂

Muffster · 30/01/2019 03:24

Also: more luxuriant pubic and armpit hair, drip-dyed with vegan colourant, Teal/indigo and copper/aubergine, with crystal and quartz brow and vulva raised threading.

Nipples will continue to be flat, yet arrogant in styling.

Muffster · 30/01/2019 03:27

@dailymail you’re welcome

Justagirlwholovesaboy · 30/01/2019 03:31

Flat, arrogant nipples, this is the future, call 8008135 for an investment opportunity!

Zoflorabore · 30/01/2019 03:41

I'm calling Pretzels and the colour purple.

coolwalking · 30/01/2019 03:54

Alpacas

HesterShaw21 · 30/01/2019 04:42

IamFrauBlucher, I didn't know that! Shock

Can I add: cuy (roasted guinea pig), ceviche and patbingsu (Korean dessert made of shaved ice and sweet red beans)

LonelyandTiredandLow · 30/01/2019 04:50

I think veganism will struggle if there's a lack of fruit and veg...so I'm going to say that will be for rich only.

Lots of prepping/fermenting hacks and programmes.

Make do and mend themes - blitz spirit revival. On the tail of that, Military coats, khaki colours and vegetable based prints.

WereYouHareWhenIWasFox · 30/01/2019 04:53

Bubble tea has been and gone, cheese tea will be the next instagrammable drink of choice for the kids. Pickles will carry on being big, especially Lupini.

primoestate · 30/01/2019 05:00

Tiny houses....the ones you design yourself and move wherever you want.
Sherry.
Art classes.

HairyToity · 30/01/2019 06:58

I think selfies are on their way out.

Alpacas and colour (less grey) are on their way in.

Oblomov19 · 30/01/2019 07:05

Rum eh? Fair enough. I don't like Dark Rum. I only like white rum.

MargotLovedTom1 · 30/01/2019 07:27

Cheese tea?? Cheese? Tea? CHEESE?! TEA?!!

LonelyandTiredandLow · 30/01/2019 07:28

I think things are getting a heated when I stumble upon such language at 7:15am on facebook... The gloves are off.

LonelyandTiredandLow · 30/01/2019 07:29

Oops! Sorry wrong thread Blush

HesterShaw21 · 30/01/2019 07:36

Fair enough, Lonely, Brexit will definitely be trending

HesterShaw21 · 30/01/2019 07:39

And Margot I had to google cheese tea: www.eater.com/2018/9/21/17846630/cheese-tea-trend-explained

ModernStoneAgeFamily · 30/01/2019 07:41

Beards again..but for women 😉

BrieAndOatcakes · 30/01/2019 07:49

Accessory wise I think some sort of sea creature. Mermaids, narwaals as mentioned by a PP. Is it too soon for a revival of the 90s dolphin trend?

Wooden accessories and "natural" colours, less cold grey everywhere indoors.
