How are you all spending your Sunday? Love these threads to see what everyone’s up to!

I’ve had a brisk walk in the park with Chestypup (stopped frequently by strangers wanting to pet the puppy)
Done the weekly food shop.
Now contemplating a hot bath and my new book but trapped under a snoozing pup.

Pizza and dancing on ice and call the midwife later Smile

Took dc to a model train exhibition on the way home.

I’m currently halfway through my PGCE so I am now at home, have left the dc to be ferel in the house while I attempt some work... mot going well Confused

UpTree · 27/01/2019 15:46

I forgot that call the midwife was on!! My dh isn’t a fan so I’ll have to binge watch from the beginning

LunaLovesgood · 27/01/2019 15:50

This morning I scrubbed the kitchen and utility while DH and DD slept (they've both been poorly this week) then did the food shop. Prepped the lamb for tea and have made some bits and bobs for DDs birthday next month.

I've just been looking online for a Peppa Pig costume for her but not finding any good ones. If anyone fancies helping...?

Tonight will be some naff film and ironing.

LucyInTheSkyy · 27/01/2019 15:51

Homework with kids / bedding washes this morning

Visit to an exhibition with kids over lunchtime

Roaring fire on for this afternoon, kids finishing homework.

Toad in the hole to make for dinner

3 loads of washing to put away, beds to remake then tv and a Gin.

Chilled one this week.

TheWoollybacksWife · 27/01/2019 15:52

I've just done houseworky stuff. Ironed DS's uniform and a a half a dozen tops earlier. Put another wash on. Helped DS clean his football boots and supervised his homework. Made soup for lunch and I've got some dough in the Breadmaker for iced buns and I need to make a loaf after that. I'll start making a roast dinner in about half an hour.

I did contemplate going for a walk earlier but it is blowing a gale here and I decided against it.

Crochet and whatever DH fancies watching later.

Pascha · 27/01/2019 15:53

I'm currently eating an egg sandwich in the Tate Modern cafe in London. This morning we woke up in a seventh floor riverside hotel room. We had full English breakfast followed by a trip on the cable car to Greenwich and River boat to the Tate. Now we're waiting for the rain to ease so we can catch the train home and be parents again Smile.

Pascha · 27/01/2019 15:53

(^not a typical Sunday Hmm)

iklboo · 27/01/2019 15:54

Tax return & looking at new cars.

Awrite · 27/01/2019 15:54

Headed out for a walk this morning with ds. Far too windy so headed home fairly quickly.

Beef stew in the oven.

Family round for lunch/visit.

Now relaxing in bed with a coffee and TV.

Bloody love Sundays.

ChestyNut · 27/01/2019 15:54

Read in bed for a while.

Out to a local hipster cafe for breakfast.

Walk in the park looking for birds.

Slobbing this afternoon, then making veggie chilli for tea.

AnduinsGirl · 27/01/2019 15:59

Watching films on Netflix in front of the fire, roast lamb dinner cooking, surrounded by cats, laundry drying. Perfect chilled sunday

shartsi · 27/01/2019 16:00

Went to the church gym at 6.30 am. Returned home for breakfast with DH and kids. Mid morning we all went back to health club for kids sports activities and swimming, squash courts for DH. Now supervising homework.

Chipsahoy · 27/01/2019 16:01

Ironing done, sheets changed, spellings and homework done. Dinner in slow cooker. So right now, Dh is out taking photos at a local beauty spot as it's a stunning day here and me and DC are watching a movie.
Later wine, roast and early night.
Love Sundays

gottachangethename1 · 27/01/2019 16:04

Laid in till 10.30am. Cleaned house, did lots of washing, saw to elderly parent (hair wash, manicure, etc) finished watching Ted Bundy doc on Netflix. Now thinking about tonight’s dinner and persuading adult dd to have an evening in and an early night for once- she looks exhausted.

gingercat02 · 27/01/2019 16:05

On a mission to finally sort our house. This weekend has been all the prep for decorating. Filling holes, cleaning the walls, sanding, etc. Today specifically, more of the above plus DS homework, ironing uniform, cleaning up after the DIY and prepping dinner. Just having a coffee and a breather before cooking, eating and a well deserved glass of wine.

ScreamingValenta · 27/01/2019 16:07

I'm henna-ing my hair.

VanillaSauce · 27/01/2019 16:12

Breakfast with visiting friends who stayed over last night, they left around lunchtime. After that we had a quick tidy up and a hoover round then DH and I are now watching a film.

Crunchymum · 27/01/2019 16:31

Today has been lazy (yesteday was hectic and included the London Transport Museum, lunch and then a long walk along the Thames!)

Did most of the Sunday chores earlier.... weekly ironing, clean out cat litter tray, rubbish and recycling. Plus all the usual daily crap.

Kids are watching a movie, DP is finishing up with decorating the hallway / stairs he's been at it all weekend so I can't moan too much about doing all the chores and I'm just about the give the baby dinner.

Doing roast chicken, warm potato salad and garlic green beans for dinner. When kids go to bed, I'll finish the bottle of red from last night and chill in front of TV with DP

Ragwort · 27/01/2019 16:34

Housework, Church & admin this morning. Out for a short walk this afternoon. Early (or late!) Sunday roast at 5pm & cinema tonight.

Evidencebased · 27/01/2019 16:36

Putting off completing the tax return.

I could have finished it five times over, in the time I've spent doing displacement stuff.

bigbluebus · 27/01/2019 16:38

Not much! Far too windy to venture out. Did peg a couple of pairs of jeans on the washing line - which amazingly were still there when I went to bring them in a few hours later! I am meant to be finishing off an assignment for a course I am doing but keep avoiding it by going on Facebook and Mumsnet! Only one question left to go though so should be OK. DH is cooking a roast dinner whilst drinking wine in the kitchen.

RedTarn · 27/01/2019 16:39

Argh evidence I completed mine yesterday and afterwards had the worst head ache I’ve had in a looong time! I hate it, the questions never make sense and it always takes me ages to find my gateway 🙈

primoestate · 27/01/2019 16:40

Long walk early morning with a friend and dogs, then home for breakfast with DH. Booked a holiday for March and watched Silent Witness. Another walk with a different friend with dogs. Then roast chicken dinner and now lazy evening ion the sofa. Not terribly exciting.

RedTarn · 27/01/2019 16:40

Jealous of all these roast dinners being cooked!
