Been offered a week of childcare so are looking to go away together, we have a budget of around £2000 where would you go/what would you do?

New York! But we love it. Not everyone's cup of tea though.

Depends what you want and what you like! Do you want culture, adventure, action packed, total relaxation?

How many hours are you willing to fly?

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 23/01/2019 18:30

Iceland is good, although 2k might not go as far as you want

CMOTDibbler · 23/01/2019 18:31

Somewhere cosy with a real fire

Haha. Camping. Somewhere beautiful, in a canvas tent with a woodburning stove, loads of books and the dogs. Probably not many people's cup of tea though.

HollowTalk · 23/01/2019 18:33

When is it you're going to go?

mummmy2017 · 23/01/2019 18:33

BA had £400 offer 3 nights NY....

RomanyRoots · 23/01/2019 18:35

Italy, we love it here and still got plenty of places we'd like to visit.
Maybe Sicily or Florence.

ilovepixie · 23/01/2019 18:37

It depends when it is and what you want. Beach or city? Party or relaxing?

fancynancyclancy · 23/01/2019 18:38

Iceland because I’ve havent been yet but will be my next childfree holiday. We went to Santorini 2 years ago in May & it was lovely, 2k will be tight though.

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/01/2019 18:39

Lake Garda. Lots of places to just relax but in reasonable travelling distance of Venice and Verona.

happytoday73 · 23/01/2019 18:41

Iceland... go with easy jet for cheaper prices. sintra and lisbon if want warm? Vienna and a couple of other local capitals?

longhaulstress · 23/01/2019 18:44

It would be mid September and not an exclusively beach hol as dh not a fan.

We could stretch to more budget wise and we don't need to include alcohol in budget as we hardly drink.
