What’s everyone up to today?

Our house: DH is off to play football shortly, DS (2) and I are watching CBeebies and DD (5) is playing in her room. I’m sitting next to a huge pile of washing I really should fold before DS throws it everywhere.

Later we’re all going out for a scoot/walk. And one of us needs to make sure DD does her homework.

What are you all up to?

Still lounging round downstairs at the moment. DD1 has got gymnastics at midday . Then both DD's are off out for dinner with their dad for his birthday later.

Nnnnnineteen · 20/01/2019 09:16

Just woken up and it looks lovely out, but unfortunately dd has a heavy cold and a huge piece of history homework. She's threatening to complete it with the help of her horrible histories book on the same topic, so am forced to be a bit more involved than I intended.

Squirrel26 · 20/01/2019 09:23

Waiting for it to be a socially acceptable time to use my hired RugDoctor on the bedroom carpet. 9.30?? My neighbours are up-and-out-early types but I haven’t seen them yet this morning...

Peepingsnowdrops · 20/01/2019 09:26

Going out for Sunday lunch with family. Later on i need to buy groceries and have a nice bath.

Chocolatecake12 · 20/01/2019 09:29

Planning on cooking a lovely Sunday lunch of roast pork. It’s the first roast I’ve cooked since Christmas.
Might go out for a walk - it’s looking very bright and crisp out there.
Will be doing a huge pile of ironing later too.

Bezalelle · 20/01/2019 09:29

MNing in bed with cat and a cuppa at the moment.

Will drag myself up for a run soon. (Maybe...)

It's the "New Year of trees" in my religion tomorrow, so later I'm helping to organise an event for that.

MillieMoodle · 20/01/2019 09:30

DH is on a football course all weekend. DS1 is on his tablet, DS2 is playing with his cars and I am MNing and about to make a cup of tea. We need to go out to get bread and milk, and I need to do the online shop. DS1 has swimming later. Other than that we are staying in. It's cold here and I'm tired as DS2 hasn't slept well the last two nights. So mostly a lazy day!

Talcott2007 · 20/01/2019 09:35

I'm finishing writing up a 10min micro-teach presentation and template lesson plan to present at an interview tomorrow afternoon (wish me luck folks!) DH is distracting DD from 'helping' me by baking a cake in the kitchen while both dressed as princesses...

aleC4 · 20/01/2019 09:38

We're off to watch ds play rugby shortly, no training for dd today as her older teammates have a match. Relieved actually as she hasn't been well.
Food shopping this afternoon and homework for the dc.

Natsku · 20/01/2019 09:38

BIL just came round to do a practice photo shoot for DS's cake smash (slightly cringy I know but babies smashing cakes is just adorable), then this afternoon DD has circus school and I will go to the post office and pick up her party supplies (two birthdays in the same week is hell) and do the food shop, and at some point I'll take baby for a sledge ride/pokemon hunt.

IndigoSpritz · 20/01/2019 09:41

Just finishing some porridge, then going out for coffee later this morning and a bit of bargain spotting. Piano practice this afternoon and trying to shake off this ruddy cold. I'm getting there, thankfully.

TattiePants · 20/01/2019 09:46

The DC’s are downstairs watching TV, DH is out running and I’m lounging in bed MNing. It’s a nice day (crisp & clear) so might have a walk along the beach later, make a Sunday roast & catch up on the kid’s homework.

Holidayshopping · 20/01/2019 09:48

I will go to the post office and pick up her party supplies

Sorry to interject, but I’m really impressed your pay office is open on a Sunday! We barely have any local post offices left-3 have shut in the last year :( and none were ever open on a Sunday!

leaveituntiltomorrow · 20/01/2019 09:49

I’m in bed mumsnetting. It’s the first time in three days that I have full vision thanks to a migraine. I really need to go for a run but I still feel a bit woozy. Think I’ll drink coffee and catch up on washing. I might let DP drag me out for a walk later. And I expect the teen DC will sit and watch a film with us later (they watch the film, I sit and gaze at them Grin )

curly100 · 20/01/2019 09:50

I need to collect DD from her Dad's and give her a substantial snack before her golf lesson at noon. I'll have a brisk walk while she's doing that. Then batch cooking, supervising homework, maybe a board game, and trying to sneak catching up with work in. Today might even be the day I stop putting off my tax return!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 20/01/2019 09:50

Clearing up and cleaning. Will take DS to his club, lunch, Tennis then ironing for the week. My back is bloody killing me though today.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 20/01/2019 10:00

Coffee and papers now
Out for a walk later
Home for a roast

letsdolunch321 · 20/01/2019 10:02

Sorting out holiday clothing for a vacation in a few weeks, starting a holiday collage to display, cleaning windows, resetting my wifi as the bloody thing keeps logging itself off line, popping out to purchase batteries later.

DesperateDansCowPie · 20/01/2019 10:05

@Holidayshopping

Our post office recently moved to the local McColls shop. Now open 7 days a week. It's very convenient but they didn't keep the post office staff on Angry, which means buying bread can take an age if the PO is busy!

maddiemookins16mum · 20/01/2019 10:11

Just had breakfast.
Need to go to Halfords for a rear wiper blade.
Need to get ready for the working week, I’ll sort work clothes, bag, do packed lunches for tomorrow.
House needs a small tidy.
Cats need flea/worming treatment.
Have to book a hotel for a weekend away in March.
Lunch is really easy Chinese chicken thighs and veggie rice.
Will put a steamed jam pudding in the slow cooker for pudding much later.
Long bath later and put a treatment on my hair.
Other than that, some telly to catch up on (Silent Witness and Casualty). Probably play some Lego DC Villians with DD on the XBox.
Oh and finish the online shop order for during the week.

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2019 10:13

DCs are away with GP until this evening.

Me and DH currently dat pondering what 30-odd year old couples without DCs do on a Sunday??? Any ideas??

cricketmum84 · 20/01/2019 10:15

*sat. Flipping tiny iPhone keys

notsurewhatshappening · 20/01/2019 10:16

DS was sick in the night so I'm staying in with him today (I have a nasty cold too). DH is making pancakes- yum! DD is on a Lego mission. They may go out to the park later. Quiet day planned.

itsbritneybiatches · 20/01/2019 10:16

Horse riding lesson for DD.
Then Stagecoach.

Hour at home then she's got a fairy photoshoot I got her from Groupon. Taking my Mum too I want a nice pic of them together.

After that she will snuggle up with her SDad on couch and watch a film and I will watch walking dead on the iPad whilst I do the ironing.

One of us will cook tea at some point. Then the day he gone!

MrsJayy · 20/01/2019 10:18

I'm going to a wedding so yeah i have the fanciest;day Grin
