Can't stop listening to the songs!

Love the songs but not fussed about the film

WishUponAStar88 · 16/01/2019 21:13

Yes! I hadn’t seen it until a few weeks ago. Currently watching it for the 4th time Grin

MrsJayy · 16/01/2019 21:15

The songs make the film if those songs were not so bloody catchy film would be average at best anyway I love it and the soundtrack got me through Christmas wrapping

Gilead · 16/01/2019 21:21

No! I am honestly beginning to think I’m the only person in the world who just doesn’t get it! It’s ok but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it again. What am I missing?

RagingWhoreBag · 16/01/2019 21:24

I think I’m into double figures now Grin. Saw it at least 4 times at the cinema (got a Cineworld card) and then many many more at home. Also loving the new Reimagined soundtrack which has all the songs but sung by actual artists like Pink, James Arthur, Craig David etc

Rewrite the Stars gives me goosebumps watching Zendaya and Zac 😍

Skisunsnow · 16/01/2019 21:27

Only watched the film once but love the soundtrack, I have it playing ALL the time. My 14 month old is also obsessed and spends her days dancing around to it!!

hatethinkingofusernames · 16/01/2019 21:27

I refused to watch the film as I'm not a film
lover anyway and hate jumping on the bandwagon ( I really need to learn my lesson here I've almost missed out on pitch perfect and Harry Potter books!!!) but I did watch it and then watched it whenever I could and listen to the songs on repeat constantly... I love it!!!!

hatethinkingofusernames · 16/01/2019 21:28

The song From Now On has me in tears every time. His voice and the passion in it! Welling up just writing about it 😂

mamaduckbone · 16/01/2019 21:29

Yes - my whole family, including the dcs who did a beautiful rendition of Never Enough complete with dancing the other night (for context, ds1 is 13 and 6 foot tall, usually to be found shouting at the PS4, and ds2 is a stocky 9 year old rugby player. It was a beautiful thing Grin)

I watched it for the first time Friday. Wasn't too fussed but it has been haunting me ever since so have listened to the soundtrack nonstop and watched it again last night...

RegIsDead · 16/01/2019 21:34

I was but I'm over it now. I'm sick of hearing it on the radio, on tv ads, on other shows. Aarrggghhhh.

It's been done to death!

However, I'm still going to see Hugh Jackman in Manchester later this year as he's fab Smile

MrsJayy · 16/01/2019 21:42

I’m off to see Hugh Jackman in May with dd9 in May

So am I having to go down south because his Uk tour isn't coming to Scotland anyway me and Dd are a tad excitedGrin

HugoBearsMummy · 16/01/2019 21:44

Yes. Watched it for the first time with DH on Xmas Day. Have watched it 3 times since!!! And DH has the soundtrack downloaded on his phone and plays it every day in his work van- he's a bricklayer 😂😂 his macho employees are not impressed haha. We LOVE it!!! Praying they make it a stage show in London one day...

MrsTaytodarling · 16/01/2019 21:45

Love love love

MrsJayy · 16/01/2019 21:46

HA mr hugo blasting this is me from his van Grin

Leafyhouse · 16/01/2019 21:49

Anyone ever thought of going to a sing-a-long version? I think the Prince of Wales Theatre was doing one - would be good to take the kids. It's the kids that want to do it, honest...

HugoBearsMummy · 16/01/2019 21:57

And probably screeching singing it very loudly too ha ha Grin

Arkos · 16/01/2019 21:58

No... awful film.

dalmatianmad · 16/01/2019 21:59

I watched it for about 40 mins at the weekend a d switched it off. Utter crap. Can't see what the fascination is??

RagingWhoreBag · 16/01/2019 22:07

hatethinking yes From Now On is a close contender for my top spot too!

You lot who don’t love it just aren’t trying hard enough!

What’s not to love?

Gorgeous Hugh and delectable Zac pretty much giving each other a lap dance in a bar. Michelle Williams being all stoic as her husband goes off on an adventure without her and then realising that family is the most important thing. The beautiful Keala Settle and her magnificent beard Grin. It’s all good.

mummymayhem18 · 16/01/2019 22:10

Love, love, love it!!! Always playing the cds. I have both the original and the reimagined version. Gives me goosebumps ❤️👍

BagofTeeth · 16/01/2019 22:22

The bartender during the Hugh/Zac scene is my favourite bit. Grin

Binglebong · 16/01/2019 22:27

It was ok but not great. Except the deal scene in the bar. That was fantastic. Wonderful choreography, great song and immaculate timing (the barman should get more credit). Otherwise it was just a meh film that glossed over some pretty bad exploitation.

MsTSwift · 16/01/2019 22:30

I saw it last jan the obsession lasted about 4 months my friend was the same. We are 40 somethings- embarrassing! Something about the film and songs triggers obsession in some.
