The button bit unscrews and various other sized buttons can be screwed on in its place. Any ideas anyone?

Does anyone know what this is?

Eish. I can't think why you'd have spy cams for anything other than spying, unless it's for something like bird nest boxes, but then he'd tell you about it anyway.

I'd want to access the hard drive, maybe go to a computer shop or something see if it can be accessed..?

Ozziewozzie · 18/01/2019 20:45

Op, I’m worried you may be being a little naive. I know you’ve hidden them in your bag, but it’s a fairly obvious place to look ( should you dh desperately want to get them back off you).
I’d imagine if it’s anything too sinister, he’d have hidden them himself somewhere more secretive, but you never know with some men. He could be incredibly complacent and assume you’re ‘just a woman so wouldn’t have a clue or worry about them’ (as if it’s beyond your intelligence).

You know your dh best.
The suspense must be killing you.
It’ll probably be something really innocent like bird watching Grin

PP makes a good point about your passwords.

I reckon you should change your phone, email, social media passwords now just in case.

WhatTheFlipIsThis · 18/01/2019 21:30

I think dh probably knows my passwords. I don’t have anything anywhere that I try and hide from him. Except my MN account actually! Which isn’t linked to my usual email account and I don’t think he knows about. I’d tell him if he asked though. Well, until a couple of days ago anyway. I normally just post about boring stuff!

I hope there's some kind of logical explanation. I'm sure there lots of things you could use them for that aren't creepy or interesting.

WhatTheFlipIsThis · 19/01/2019 09:00

Well I feel silly

vodkaanddietcokeplease · 19/01/2019 09:02

What's happened OP?

WhatTheFlipIsThis · 19/01/2019 09:03

Dh apparently got this a couple of years ago as he was convinced he had something stuck in his ear and wanted to see if he could see it 😆. He couldn’t, but put it in the junk drawer in case he ever found a need for it. He unlocked the screen and showed me a couple of minute or two videos of him frowning at the camera before trying to put it in his ear.

Bloody idiot.

Pinkyponkcustard · 19/01/2019 09:19

Grin I’m so relieved for you!

Musicalmistress · 19/01/2019 09:38

Sorry OP but that ‘explanation’ just seems odd...why buy a whole set up to look in your ear? Ask someone to look? Go to the docs?

WhatTheFlipIsThis · 19/01/2019 09:46

He’s a bit of an odd bloke. He’d have to have his head falling off before he considered going to the doctors. The videos were definitely of him a while ago because his hair is different.

OP posts:
Musicalmistress · 19/01/2019 09:49

Fair enough, you know him best.

snowie01 · 19/01/2019 09:57

Grin haha

PattiStanger · 19/01/2019 10:21

Good to hear you've got it sorted, wasn't there a thread on here about a MIL or someone having pics of her nethers on her phone that turned out to be for a similar reason?

6demandingchildren · 19/01/2019 11:01

that is totally brilliant.
we have a microscope that connects to the computer. i looked through the videos and there is my son with it in his mouth, up his nose, and in his ear.
males are such funny creatures lol

BitOutOfPractice · 19/01/2019 11:26

That's made me laugh

RealJudas · 19/01/2019 11:34

You've got to love mn... OP comes back with an innocent, plausible explanation and there is still a poster frothing at the mouth for something more sinister.... We don't like innocent OP Grin (joking - I'm glad it turned out well).

SarahET · 19/01/2019 12:41

Haha. I can totally see his logic but personally I'd go for a vacuum cleaner extension to try and suck out any potential items Grin

DontCallMeCharlotte · 19/01/2019 12:48

Phew! That's hilarious!

TheHorseyouRodeInOn · 19/01/2019 13:09

Have you read "A Good Marriage " by Stephen King?
Very similar circumstances!

TheHorseyouRodeInOn · 19/01/2019 13:26

Oops should have rtft!

3boysandabump · 19/01/2019 13:38

Glad that's all it was OP.

I'd totally do something like that. My camera roll is full of pictures of various body parts where I've had a spot or something and needed to get a better look.

MrsJDornan · 19/01/2019 14:40

Grin glad it was nothing bad, bless him Grin

Teagoanngoanngoann · 19/01/2019 18:32

Oh OP. So pleased for you that it was nothing sinister Wink

Ozziewozzie · 19/01/2019 22:11

Such a funny thing to hear, yet bizarrely we all do things similar.
Glad it’s innocent, and apologies to your dh, for assuming he’s a funny bunny of sorts. Blush
