Which UK politician (past or present) do you feel the most visceral hatred towards right now?

Me: 1. David Cameron although of course it is a very close run thing with 2. Boris Johnson and 3. Nigel Farage - nuff said.

  1. Jeremy Corbyn - but actually I can't bring myself to hate him all that much for not putting up a strong Labour campaign against Brexit because he never pretended he was a Remainer himself. He is and always has been pro-Brexit from a different angle. He probably shouldn't have been elected leader in the first place.

I've voted Labour in the GE for the entirety of my voting life (since 1983) but at this moment I don't actually feel any anger towards Theresa May - I rather grudgingly admire her. She knows her time as leader is short lived. I have yet to see anyone saying anything tangible about how they could have done it better!

Dh and I are both passionate, passionate Remainers. But we can't support a second vote - it will result in the most horrendous civil unrest! Anyone who thinks the 48% who voted to leave the EU will just quietly accept a different result from a second referendum is deluded.

And so I come back to most visceral hatred for a political figure just now = Cameron for putting us here. It sickens me to the pit of my stomach, thinking of him living his rarified, cosy, massively over-privileged Eton-educated life in Chipping fucking Norton, earning millions as a public speaker off the back of his very short time in politics, running away from the mess he created. What a complete and utter ARSE.

Bloody Margaret Thatcher who gave us the country we have today.

longwayoff · 17/01/2019 08:16

And Denis Thatcher would have been sinking G &Ts with Farage and his mates. Right up his street.

QuentinWinters · 17/01/2019 08:27

Liam Fox. Werrity sniffer. He is absolutely shamelessly incompetent and says the most ridiculous things (like the Brexit deal being the easiest in history). He's my MP and he gives me the rage Angry
There is a local Facebook group that have handily compiled all his ridiculous actions.

Blair! What a waste of time, and keeps coming back. Hideous inside and out

KennDodd · 17/01/2019 08:45

Can I just point out (if nobody else has already) we get what we vote for.

God how I wish Remain had won the referendum. I doubt we'd be talking about how much we hate people if it had.

Cookmysock1 · 17/01/2019 08:57

I cannot think of David Cameron without remembering someone on here describing him as having a face like a freshly wanked cock

localfluff · 17/01/2019 09:30

It has to be Margaret Thatcher for me I'm afraid. She treated working class communities with utter callous contempt. The archetypal evil Tory.

safariboot · 17/01/2019 10:47

Jeremy *unt. The deliberate damage he's done to the NHS will take years, possibly decades, to repair even if we get a government that cares about it. In reshuffle after reshuffle he kept his position, a giant slap in the face to all NHS workers - and all patients too really.

I suppose I hate Cameron and May for keeping *unt there too.

BertrandRussell · 17/01/2019 10:49

Just had a quick think....still Thatcher. I’d like to move on, but I can’t.

Bloomini · 17/01/2019 11:32

Warmonger Tony Blair.

Incompetent Gordon Brown.

Sturgeon and Salmond. Useless.

CandyPuff · 17/01/2019 11:34

Thatcher

Tiscold · 17/01/2019 11:56

Thatcher

Dongdingdong · 17/01/2019 12:02

Bloody Margaret Thatcher who gave us the country we have today.

Margaret Thatcher caused a lot of damage, but those who have come after have had almost 30 years to change and improve things. Blaming politicians who haven't been in power for nigh on three decades for the state the country's in now doesn't wash with me I'm afraid.

listsandbudgets · 17/01/2019 12:05

Can't stand Cameron. Its odd as some years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting his lovely sister - I can not understand how they possibly came from the same parents.

Corbyn - I hate him with a vengenance ... he's a populist politician who says what he wants people to hear, he's 2 faced on Brexit and quite frankly lives in f*cking fairy land when it comes to finances.

Oh and I can't stand John Maddonald either - I shudder to think what will happen if he gets his hands on the finances. for the many not the few sounds nice but what does it actually mean in practise?

listsandbudgets · 17/01/2019 12:05

Oh and Blair how could I possibly miss out Blair

PierreBezukov · 17/01/2019 12:30

For visceral hatred there is only one :

George Osborne.

For strong dislike :

Corbyn
Tony Blair
Ian Paisley junior
John Bercow
Arlene Foster (for not doing the right thing and stepping aside at the start of the RHI scandal).

For dislike -

Boris Johnson
Diane Abott

I don't have much love for the British voters. Useless bunch, driven by lies and fear.

Tiscold · 17/01/2019 12:40

And what country are you from then @SistrrofDonFrancisco

Jitters22 · 17/01/2019 12:44

Salmond, Sturgeon, Joanna Cherry.

areyoubeingserviced · 17/01/2019 12:45

Jacob Rees Mogg and Nigel Farage- charlatans

areyoubeingserviced · 17/01/2019 12:48

Michael Gove- for the damage he did to education

Jitters22 · 17/01/2019 13:02

I don't have much love for the British voters. Useless bunch, driven by lies and fear.

Way to go to .... write off millions of people, presumably because they didn't vote they way you think they should vote.

Hmm
DaphneduM · 17/01/2019 13:08

Osborne - for the fake 'austerity' which has decimated the public services and with it my DH's job and nearly gave him a nervous breakdown

Cameron - for colluding with Osborn re the above, and of course for the huge mess we now have - the lazy coward couldn't even stay to face the consequences of his actions

Gove - a creep - he has messed up education for generations of ordinary children

Thatcher - she started the sell off of all our public infra-structure and the decline of public services - an evil woman. Said it all that she died in a hotel rather than in the bosom of her family
