Just a curious question. I always see threads about what's too old, what about too young (if you think there is a too young)? I see some people saying 23/24 is 'too young'.

I had DC1 at 18 and DC2 at 20. I am now 30 and still with DH. DH is a relatively high earner and I earn above the national average. It completely depends on the person. For what it’s worth I do probably think I was too young but I had a strong work ethic and I think I’ve done a good job. We have a wonderful life and had I waited I wouldn’t have been able to have any at all due to medication so it really worked out for the best.

Nowadays,I think that anything under 22 is a bit young. But maybe I'm being a hypocrite as I was only 19 when I had my DD,back in 1983. At the time,I never had any comments made regarding my age, although people do sometimes remark now that I was very young. I think back then, women tended to have babies at a younger age,and teenage pregnancies were far more common. Now,I see the situation is reversed, with the teenage pregnancy rate being the lowest ever, and more women over 40 having babies.
