How attractive do you consider yourself to be

For your age, have you aged well, given up, had help, feel inner beauty, always felt ugly, means a lot to you, means nothing to you? Do you have good days, bad days?
Also any tips and advice to share.

They love me. They want me. I don’t question it.

Nesssie · 10/01/2019 19:07

My body is probably a 9. I’m slim, tall, toned, long legged, boobs, long thick blonde hair etc

Face: probably an 8 in my bedroom mirror when I’m all dolled up
Photos I always look about a 2
Real life, probably a 6.
I don’t think I’m very pretty naturally but apparently my personality (funny and outgoing) bumps me up to a 7.

The outgoing personality hides quite a few insecurities about how no one would ever think I’m pretty. I have freckles and I am really insecure about them.

I get comments from friends/colleagues about being ‘stunning’ but I think it’s my body not my face as my face is definitely not stunning.

NOTthepinkranger · 10/01/2019 19:07

I know I’m ugly, truly honestly ugly but I look younger than my age - my only saving grace.

FacingUp · 10/01/2019 19:07

I look like a mangled foot.
Still consider myself a fucking 10 🙌🏻

Nesssie · 10/01/2019 19:08

^ I’m mid 20s by the way

NOTthepinkranger · 10/01/2019 19:08

I’m 28 btw

Ethel80 · 10/01/2019 19:09

Urgh, rubbish. There are good bits but mostly urgh. I'm very funny IRL though.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 10/01/2019 19:11

I am short, fat and speccy. Frizzy hair that went grey early. My genes did not gift me with amazing good looks. But I scrub up decently and can work wonders with a mascara wand and a hairdryer. I know what suits me and what doesn’t. Plus, I am cheerful and smiley, so I think I make a positive impression that way. Have bagged myself a handsome DP so reckon I’ve done alright.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 10/01/2019 19:13

Prob not decent by today’s standards, ie.extensions, fake eye lashes, contouring- in the early 2000s I rated well, damn the kardashians!

PorridgeIsYummy · 10/01/2019 19:13

I'd say I'm probably very attractive, or so I get told quite regularly. I certainly feel far more beautiful now (at 47) than I did in my 20s.

theLadyofShallnot · 10/01/2019 19:14

I am a bastardin fat old pig in knickers.

I don't have the chronic health problems of my sibling.

I am lucky. A lucky pig in knickers.

Thankssomuch · 10/01/2019 19:14

grandmajane love your answer! 😁

I'm 41 next week and despite being overweight for most of my life (size 16/18/20, currently 18 ) and 5ft 5 I feel I look better than I did 20 years ago.

I looked at an old passport from 18-28 and it was horrible. Didn't bother with make up much, eyebrows were feral, hair was always good to be fair but I just had no clue.

Now I'm still overweight but I know exactly how to dress, I have a shape, a waist, curves and make the most of them.
I don't wear lots of make up and look better without it. My hair is naturally almost black and I have pale skin and very blue eyes so look a bit unusual sometimes.
Beauty wise I have my eyebrows waxed and tinted, shellac only on nails, no harsh treatments on hair which is still my best point, long, thick and naturally kinky! And I wear perfume every day no matter what I'm doing.

There are some times when I feel totally shit about myself like most people but I know I'm not ugly. It's not usually seen as the done thing to admit your good points and I don't think I would be so honest in real life.
I do always find something nice about everyone though, nice eyes, nice figure, nice smile etc. Everyone has something about them.

Being comfortable in your skin is the best thing though and that takes time. I hate my big feet though ( am a big 8 and sometimes can't fit in 8's ) so if I could change that i would. I have my own sense of style and don't worry about what others think of me. I invest in decent handbags but am happy with cheaper shoes. They don't last me long anyway Grin

MaMisled · 10/01/2019 19:19

I'm 52 and have 3 incredibly good looking siblings. They've aged well but, always having been gorgeous, they've spent money staying that way. I, on the other hand, have never been good looking but have put my energy into being happy, kind, fulfilled, easily pleased and content. I'm quite stylish, I've been told and, having recently lost weight, I'm feeling good. A safe 3 on the attractive scale outside but a firm 11 on the inside!

ohtheholidays · 10/01/2019 19:25

Like a PP I have good days(had the impulse moment where a man I didn't know handed me a bunch of roses)and bad days(and they're usually really bad days)where I look like Quasimodo's uglier sister Grin lol.

For my age,yes I've aged well,I'm 43 now and still get asked for ID and sometimes get mistaken for my oldest DS's girlfriend 22(the poor little sod)I also get mistaken for my poor DH's daughter sometimes which is madness because he's 7 years younger than me.

I completely believe in inner beauty.

I've not had any help(I presume you mean surgery ect)I'd be terrified of something going wrong and the risk of loosing my life for an operation for my looks seems like madness to me.

I like the way I look but I'm also very aware that I've been very lucky,my Mum and Dad always looked years younger than they are and they didn't have to do anything to remain looking younger and so far I'm taking after them.

halfwitpicker · 10/01/2019 19:26

Yeah I'm pretty good looking. Only when thinner though.

Makes a huge difference if I'm slim. My face looks so different when I'm fatter, just bloated. Really wish I'd lost weight when I was younger, instead of staying a solid size 14. Ideal weight is 9-9.5 stone.

Reason I mention all this is because I feel like a 8 on 10 at this weight. Heavier I look like a blimp and I'm a 5 on 10.

I'm 5'5, and 36.

Regularly get chatted up. Men treat me totally different. It's so much easier. Women are tough though. Suspicious.

Make up and the right clothes etc makes a difference obviously.

I'm very vain, and wish I wasn't. Huge interest in diet/nutrition and also clothes.

Wotev · 10/01/2019 19:27

If it wasn't for my black front teeth (the shame), I'd probably be an 8 on a good day. As it is, with my pudgy Christmas/sitting on my ass body for 2 months, I'm about a 3. On a good day.

ichifanny · 10/01/2019 19:28

Meh I like the way I look , I would t say I’m beautiful or ugly as such I’m just sort of ok with myself which is anyone can ask for really .

IndigoSpritz · 10/01/2019 19:32

Well, I'm almost 48, slightly overweight, male and still a single virgin. If that doesn't paint a plain picture, I don't know what does.

AmIIntrouble · 10/01/2019 19:33

Confident is everything, mine is never high. It's much worst when you look at your own siblings who are only a year or two older than you, we are definitely aging! (We are in our 40s).

From photos = 1
Mirrors outside of my house = 2 (not sure why)
Makeup on = 5
Makeup off = 1

Can't wait to retire so I don't need to look presentable. I will move to some remote places and live with animals Grin

IndigoSpritz · 10/01/2019 19:33

On the plus side, I'm in full-time employment and own my own hair, teeth, home and car.

peachchair · 10/01/2019 19:34

I’m doing ok. Seriously considering Botox this year though at 33.
I still get stopped in street told I’m beautiful pretty blah blah. I do like it but get incredibly shy when it happens and have to run off in the opposite direction Blush
I would like to stay as good looking for my age as humanly possible. I don’t really care what others do though. Just for myself.

itbemay · 10/01/2019 19:34

Today at work I was told that I looked a lot older than my 43 years Sad, then someone asked me if I was married Smile. I have good days and bad days and days like today are a mixture of both!

marykissmouse · 10/01/2019 19:35

When I was younger and on the occasions when I was slim I think I must have been attractive as I used to get into nightmare scenarios with men which I couldn't cope with to the point that I made a conscious decision to be fat as it was less hassle. I'm still fat and now 52 so invisible to most people which suits me. I think I used to be a 9 and I'm now a 3. Happier as a 3 than a 9 though.

Whatusernamecanihave · 10/01/2019 19:38

0 I literally have nothing going for me. Need to lose weight and a lot of it but even at my smallest a 4 is the max i think.
