Going to Costco tomorrow - what should I get?

I'm not convinced it's that much cheaper than Aldi/Asda but DH is very excited!

The only thing on my list is lots of tinned tomatoes. And nappies.

Would anyone like to inspire me?

Loo rolls.

Birthday cake. Whether you need it or not! It's the sluttiest, most slurpy wonderful thing ever!

aurorie11 · 09/01/2019 20:30

Foil and cling film, you won’t buy any for years!

MissRainbowBrite · 09/01/2019 20:31

Loo roll, chocolate crepes, washing powder....the list is endless.
All of the meat is good, the bakery is amazing and generally anything with their own brand (Kirkland) is very good.
You will come out at least £150 worse off.

Furrycushion · 09/01/2019 20:33

Not loo rolls, the Kirkland ones fall to bits. However you do need a rotisserie chicken & large packs of batteries. The huge trays of croissants are delicious & they freeze very well & decorated in moments in the oven.

A valium, to pop before you cross the threshold

BrexitDestruction · 09/01/2019 20:36

Definitely the foil. We haven't been for like 2 yrs and my foil is still going strong.

The pure vanilla extract.

The cookies / pastries.

I want to join again. I love Costco.

Chaosandmadness · 09/01/2019 20:36

EVERYTHING!!!!! (I miss Costco)

weegiehere · 09/01/2019 20:37

The GIANT baked potatoes from the cafe afterwards!

SweetPeaPods · 09/01/2019 20:38

soundsystem · 09/01/2019 20:40

Oooh! Getting excited now! DC2 and DH both have birthdays coming up, so good shout on the cake!

Adding all of these to my list - thanks!

Light bulbs - they last forever! And chewing gum if you are a chewer!!

MillieMoodle · 09/01/2019 20:43

Ooh watching with interest as I'm desperate to go to Costco for a nosy and my neighbours have got a membership Grin

Furrycushion · 09/01/2019 20:45

The cakes are enormous! Fine if you have about 30 people to feed but I don't think your family will need one each!

unusualcolours · 09/01/2019 20:51

Loo rolls
Baby wipes
Part baked baguettes

You must try all the samples dotted about, especially the hot ones 😊

Slice of pizza on the way out, it’s huge and so cheesy!

Catscakeandchocolate · 09/01/2019 20:54

The chilli pork strips are amazing

Littlelambpeep · 09/01/2019 21:01

Toys are great as are children's rugs

ThomasHardyPerennial · 09/01/2019 21:06

A big tub of Kirkland peanut butter filled pretzels - they are amazing!

canibehereifimnotamum · 09/01/2019 21:09

Teabags

Toomuchgoingon · 09/01/2019 21:17

Kirkland paper towels. Much bigger sheets and last ages

fiorentina · 09/01/2019 21:20

Look at the book section for potential present ideas, bulk packs that can be great value. Kids toys also.
Washing powder and cleaning products - they give you an offer booklet when you go in. Check that out!

FrangipaniBlue · 09/01/2019 21:22

1.5kg of sourdough pretzels.

RedemptiveCrocodile · 09/01/2019 21:31

Ziplock bags. I use them for all sorts of non-food things like organising Lego sets, board game pieces, cookie cutters. They are great for food too, obviously, and can be washed and reused.

Eggs, if you need vast quantities, are very cheap.

Frozen blueberries and raspberries.

Tonight we had their fresh lasagna for dinner, it was a late night and we were driving past on the way home. It's expensive, but a crowd pleaser.

ScienceIsTruth · 09/01/2019 21:32

I always find their fresh meat very good quality.
