Going to Costco tomorrow - what should I get?

I'm not convinced it's that much cheaper than Aldi/Asda but DH is very excited!

The only thing on my list is lots of tinned tomatoes. And nappies.

Would anyone like to inspire me?

Portugese Egg Tarts and Coke Zero.

And the Pretzels.

I got a very reasonably priced pair of Sketchers last time I was there.

The Beef Wellington is very nice too.

Think I need to go to Costco...

Please find out for me if they do Godiva chocolate cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory there! I heard rumours...

Furrycushion · 09/01/2019 22:31

Excited101, I think I spied a frozen cheesecake with mixed slices from the cheesecake factory. Unless I dreamed it?!

IroningMan · 09/01/2019 22:35

The massive tubs of rice. Even DH can't fuck up cooking it. It never clumps. Amazing.

Skinandbones · 09/01/2019 22:47

The chicken thighs are great I separate them in to 5 packs and use them for curries and stews.
The duck breasts are really good too.
Mini cucumber seem to last ages.
Tinned tomatoes but not the organic ones
Tinned coconut is cheaper there too.
Water and more water.
Have a look in the coupon book when you go in.
And mine has a 4 pack of tiles Bluetooth finders for keys etc. Cheaper than anywhere else.

Yakisoba noodles in the freezer section.

Kirkland Dark Chocolate Coconut covered cashews - I haven’t looked in a while so don’t know if they still exist

Excited101 · 10/01/2019 23:34

This is what I’ve heard Fried but I need to find out in real life, from someone who’s beeeeeeen!

Excited101 · 10/01/2019 23:34

Furry not Fried! Where did I get that from?!

BartonHollow · 10/01/2019 23:42

These things are critical @soundsystem

Meat - their chicken and mince is lovely

Toiletries - massive salon sized shampoos that last forever

Tampons/Towels

Their Kirkland range is vg

THE Bakery and everything in it

Their prepared platters and mains like Lasagne

Household stuff like Flash, Persil - you can get masses of powder for as much as you'd pay in ASDA for a small

Bottled water

You haven't lived til you've been Costco BlushGrin

nutellalove · 11/01/2019 00:08

Masssssive fish. Or any meat really in bulk. Portion up, freeze individually for later. Saves ridiculous amounts.

I have only been once, and bought loads of frozen dumplings (like you get from a Chinese takeaway). They were gorgeous, and didn't last as long as I hoped.
Also remember them having lot of frozen veggie stuff, which my recently turned veggie daughter enjoyed.

Yellowbutterfly1 · 11/01/2019 07:41

The ziplock bags they do now are terrible quality. They have really got thin and silly small sizes that I would never use.
The Kirkland toilet paper is not as good as it used to be but still on a par as own brand supermarket paper which is still very good only cheaper.
Meat good quality but in large sizes so you would need freezer space.
Fresh salmon good but same price as supermarkets now.
Foil and cling film very good.
