Where can I buy summer clothes for a larger person (me!)?

I am going away in a few weeks and I have gained a lot of weight.

I have ordered some swimsuits from M&S but didn’t like the look of their clothes. I need some things for the cooler evenings, maybe leggings with dresses or even jeans. I am looking for advice please on where I can buy summer clothes online only. I cannot face the shops. I would appreciate any help please. Thank you. :)

Debenhams online have holiday clothes available online all year round and carry sizes up to 26 in some ranges. Their home delivery service is usually pretty fast. Also John Lewis is worth a look.

Asos have a good plus size range

simply be
Studio 8
Navabi

What size are you looking for?

EilaLila · 09/01/2019 19:18

Thank you, I’m probably 18-20.

What size if you don't mind me asking?

Some of Asda's swimsuits go to 20.

Simplybe and yours clothing do larger sizing and are quite trendy.

Evans do larger sizes but aren't really my style.

Joanie Clothing do some nice dresses but sizing can be a little off.

Good luck! If I think of anywhere else, I'll let you know.

torthecatlady · 09/01/2019 19:20

I just bought this a couple of days ago from Asda. Up to a size 20.

Pepperberry at Bravissimo do some nice, flattering styles.

ratspeaker · 09/01/2019 20:04

Mybatteredchair · 09/01/2019 20:05

New look and Dorothy Perkins both have curve ranges , I'm the same size as you and buying from the curve range mean they're better cut to hide my belly 😆

Curvissa

KindergartenKop · 09/01/2019 21:16

Crunchymum · 09/01/2019 22:13

I read your other thread too.

Glad you have decided to go!!!!

Fstar · 09/01/2019 22:14

Asda, yours and boohoo curve

Figmentofimagination · 09/01/2019 22:26

Pepperberry from bravissimo have some lovely curvy clothes, especially their dresses.

GoldenHoops · 09/01/2019 22:27

TU at Sainsbury's is great for for leggings, jersey trousers and longer tops. Evans has great wide leg trousers ( they begin with P and have a Z in them and I can't remember how to spell it)😁 There leggings are good and keep their shape. Tops can be a bit big it depends on your shape.

imsorryiasked · 09/01/2019 22:28

Try m& co
And if you do have one near by my local one had loads of summer stuff on the sale rail - could a friend go in for you?

Figmentofimagination · 09/01/2019 22:29

Also, try roman. My mum ordered me a maxi dress from there which was lovely!

PoshPenny · 09/01/2019 22:30

Violeta by Mango have some nice stuff and is worth a look.

ilovepixie · 09/01/2019 22:31

George at Asda are very good and the sizes are pretty true too. Everything a fiver and Amazon are good too but the sizes can sometimes be a bit off.

oooerrmissus · 09/01/2019 22:32

Have a look on Amazon. There's some quite nice clothes on there. If you search for tunic tops you should get a range and can have a browse. Some of them are mini dresses but they could work as a long top with leggings for you.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 09/01/2019 22:34

I'm so pleased you're going.

Try TKMAxx online. I was quite large a few years ago and we went to Morocco on holiday. Due to cultural norms about clothing I had to buy loose, long sleeved tops and palazzo style trousers. I got lots in TKMAXX and realised that, as a larger person in hot climes its a much better way to dress. Even though I have now lost the weight (well, most of it!) I stick to long loose cotton tops and palazzo pants even on holiday in Europe.

Whatever you wear, enjoy your holiday and have fun.
