Eddie Izzard makes me so sad. The first few times I saw him live, in the 90s, were the first times I can ever remember really properly crying with laughter, unable to breathe, at a comedian. And I thought his attitude to the way he dressed was so refreshing - "I'm not wearing women's clothes: I'm wearing my clothes" - and now I see he's clambered on to the trans bandwagon and I'm gutted.

Exactly this. Treasured memories now trashed. Sad.

Second Linda Smith, I'm over the moon when I find she's on Radio4Extra. Very very funny.

Richard O'Brien when he did the Crystal Maze.

"I've said enough to help you now, I'll do my impression... of a tree."

After the Bros documentary, Matt Goss

I’m still laughing now on and off at him

Oh my god yes! I watched this 2 nights ago and I was howling. I'm going to have some of his pearlers printed on a t-shirt. What about that Stevie Wonder comment?! Also he was talking about something serious then gave a ridiculous comment straight after it, can't remember what it was now. I'll have to watch it again Grin

notacooldad · 10/01/2019 11:37

I used to really like Billy Connolly but I have never been able to get past the Ken Bigley comment. It was not funny and just showed a nasty side to him.

LadyRochfordsFlayedGusset · 10/01/2019 11:40

Another vote for Matt Goss Wink.

FriedEggs1 · 10/01/2019 11:44

Ooo ooo ooo I've got it. It's when he was talking about his bodyguard taking a picture of him in the bath having a nap. Then he said "At least there were bubbles" Grin

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 10/01/2019 13:06

Can I vote for Homer Simpson, or is that not allowed?

MaryM82 · 10/01/2019 13:09

I enjoyed Ali Wong’s Netflix shows more than I thought I would. Iliza Schlesinger similarly made me laugh.

In terms of all time favourites though, it would have to be Victoria Wood - her stuff just wears well. I’ve seen ‘An Audience With’ I don’t know how many times now and it still makes me laugh.

Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder was fantastic too - the delivery was spot on, every time. Never get tired of watching them.

Anjelah Johnson in the Nail Shop is hilarious.
