Early Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin tv shows. Crying with laughter. Never bettered imo.
Some Morcombe and Wise sketches - the breakfast scene, ‘Andre preview’ etc.
Eddie izzard.
Victoria wood.

HappyPunky · 09/01/2019 05:57

Julia Davis

Paul Merton. I love Have I got news for you

eggofmantumbi · 09/01/2019 06:38

Bob Mortimer. The guy is a comic genius. Saw Vic and Bob live whilst pregnant and very nearly wet myself laughing!

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 09/01/2019 06:42

James Acaster: love his Would I Lie To You stories, especially the one about his arch-nemesis. It's his dead-pan delivery.

One of my favourite funny TV moments was Mock the Week's Things Andy Murray is Thinking with Andy Murray in the audience. Cried laughing at that.

Gotstuckwiththisname · 09/01/2019 06:44

Billy Connolly
Lee Mack
Romesh Ranganathan

Cauliflowersqueeze · 09/01/2019 06:45

Lee Mack and David Mitchell on Would I Lie to You.

Kevin Bridges and Peter Kay doing any kind of stand up.

Cauliflowersqueeze · 09/01/2019 06:53

Oh and definitely Jon Richardson on talk shows. Not so much stand up

Taffeta · 09/01/2019 07:01

I've seen the following live and they were a disappointment

Micky Flanagan
Jon Richardson
Lee Mack
Stewart Lee

But Sean Lock was very good

I generally like
Frankie Boyle
Sharon Horgan (not stand up obvs)
Katherine Parkinson (ditto) - in fact everyone in Hang Ups, funniest thing I've seen in years
And quite like Romesh

louderthan · 09/01/2019 07:25

Romesh Ranganathan.

Just his deadpan delivery and unimpressed facial expressions. So, so funny.

HarrySnotter · 09/01/2019 07:37

Bill Bailey. Genius of a man.

BrylcreamBeret · 09/01/2019 07:46

Nina and Monkey.
Bill Bailey, saw him in Cardiff and genuinely thought I'd damaged a rib from laughing.

TheQueef · 09/01/2019 07:53

All time has to be Les Dawson.

DustyMaiden · 09/01/2019 07:53

Showed DS sketches of Dave Allen on YouTube, he thought they were hilarious.

James Acaster.
Rhys Darby

Flight of the Conchords

katekat383 · 09/01/2019 10:43

Larry David.

Newsername · 09/01/2019 10:45

Rowan Atkinson/Tony Robinson/Hugh Laurie/Stephen Fry, all together.

Obviously all the Only Fools and Horses cast together.

Harry Hill makes me cry with laughter.

Graham Norton used to make me cry with laughter until he moved to the BBC and they toned him down.

Romesh (dunno his surname), and his mum, he does those hilarious trips to places. The one to Sri Lanka had the whole family in stitches. His mum is brilliant 😂😂😂

BoogleMcGroogle · 09/01/2019 10:48

I'm not sure she ever made it to TV, but on the radio Linda Smith. I'm still smiling at things she said in 1996.

NameChangeNugget · 09/01/2019 10:50
