i think I joined when Ds was around 9 months old, so 2003, and then stopped posting around 2013/14 ish maybe, not too sure.

Seems like a life time ago and was just sat here wondering if anyone from then was still around, or if we all buggered off.

Yeah Mouldies was a mystery to me.

It's strange because something like that, which is by it's very nature exclusionary, did not really put me off because remaining posters still just cracked on. In fact, I got the feeling that people who knew what had gone on were not that bothered that they had been left behind.

I've name changed loads as well, but don't think that I have ver been that memorable. There are lots of long memories on the Archers boards though.

I've been here since before 9/11. That feels like a lifetime ago. I remember someone called Kia strutting around.

@anyfucker it used to say somewhere, there used to be threads where people posted their registration number too.

@AnyFucker I don't know if there's a date, but if you go into your account you'll find your registration number, which will give you some idea!

I do remember Dittany, Shirley Knot, Bupcakes, BoF (I think she’s still here under a different name now) and Scottish mummy.
The older posters who brought everyone in and talked to anyone, no matter how long they had been here were funny and nice.
I had a four year break after arguing with some of the less nice ones and basically being told to fuck off. I just thought , “yeah, why am I even bothering” and did fuck off for a few years.
I remember crying with laughter on a thread where Bupcakes was talking about ring doughnuts and phallic French sticks and other rude bakery products.

Bupcakes was hilarious in a way that isn’t easy to manage on a forum.

I remember someone got into a tiff with her on a thread and told her as an aside that her username was disgusting. She dined out on that for ages!

Joined 2004-ish. Didn’t have the courage to post, but was a prolific lurker 🤔. The first name I recall was FrannyandZooey... much talk about wanky baskets, which turned out to be heuristic play.

I've been here since 2005, under a few other names that I can't even remember, but mostly this one.
Someone mentioned MorningPaper, she wrote the best Roundup emails!
I used to hang about on the Threadkillers threads mostly.
New Years Eve 2009 was the night that MN got me through. DH was in Afghanistan and I was home alone with toddler DS in bed.
The group on the NYE party thread made a lonely time much easier for me.
I do miss the old days but I still lurk around most days. MN is still a hive of information and support.

Does anyone remember the thread about bad tempered driving and the porcelain toilet bowls falling out of a lorry as someone too impatient to wait overtook just as it was too late, the bigs smashed on the road, the drivers tyres were “proper fucked” (all four of them) and the OP and her children “Laughed all the way to Birdland”? I don’t know why, but that anecdote tickled lots of us, especially the last sentence

Didn’t Bups also get into bother about someone’s (school gate mum acquaintance) lemon drizzle cake which she likened to a slice of scrambled egg and the lemon drizzle cake woman was informed of it?

Been here since 2007 but have a very new user name at the moment.
Mainly lurk but also recall many of the posters already mentioned.
Think I once had a run in with Bonsoir who was being very sniffy about something or someone, also recall a difference of opinion with MaryZ about something I now can't remember, and really enjoyed reading posts and possibly TV reviews??? by Aitch. Other names that spring to mind are Rhubarb and Custardo, Trinity Rhino, Riven, Northern Lurker. Was also on the thread where Calvin Harris' sister revealed herself.
Also regularly spot AtillatheMeerkat who appears to still be dispensing wise advice after all these years.
Found the whole Moldie thing completely bizarre at the time. Couldn't work out how so many posters had so much time to invest in it all.

I was part of a group that formed a MN Facebook group on a specific topic but then that got pulled.

It’s been a big part of my life for a decade now.

Been here since 2004 I think. Well I've always thought 'Nutcrackers getting a new house' was one of the first things I remembered anyway! Always been more of a lurker but love seeing all the old names, feel all warm and fuzzy.

I used to piss myself at some of the usernames when I joined in 2009 while expecting DC1. It is a shame that name-changing has become a necessity (I don't change anywhere near enough as often as I ought to, but have been through half a dozen names). Occasionally I come across a poster and wonder whether we've interacted before, but I can never tell the way some people seem to be able to.
I remember feeling really stupid when I finally figured out SirChenjin's name (whom I don't see around anymore). I thought I spotted a new incarnation of SGB in FWR recently?
