Anyone still around from the olden days ??

i think I joined when Ds was around 9 months old, so 2003, and then stopped posting around 2013/14 ish maybe, not too sure.

Seems like a life time ago and was just sat here wondering if anyone from then was still around, or if we all buggered off.

Theoriginal you're in SC too then??! Dd is year 10 and ds year 9 getting on well I think. I never tell anyone I go on MN is it like being in a cult do you think? 😂😂😂

This place was most definitely a lifeline for me when the kids were younger and I split with xp. I always got loads of advice (which I didn’t always listen to) and when I mo Ed house a load of posters sent me vouchers 😁
I remember I moaned a lot lol. Pleased to say that I don’t really do that as much anymore lol.

Old timer here. Joined in 2006, always been Pesto in some shape or form. Know a few other Mumsnetters from Brighton meet-ups.

Boredboredbored - yep I’m not far from the hospital.
PB has been fabulous for ds. It wasn’t my nearest school and his sisters went to FF but ds always struggled at school and I knew FF wasn’t right for him.
He still struggles now but they have done so much for him.

I joined in 2004 when dd was 1 and on the first thread I posted on was deleted for saying I thought Kerrymum was "talking rubbish". Funnily we went on to get on v well. (She came on at some point last year, iirc, is now a published writer and married)
I was Bucharest the longest I suppose but have name changed (and deregged and reregged loads) since the made up bollocks of stuff like PB threads started to take over.

I think they had one person on from HQ & for some reason it went tits up and nearly got shut down. Im sure people were kicking off about something trivial but it exploded.

Maryz was a legend.

There was lots of confusion about "bear" posters iirc.

One had a surprise baby and was a student nurse (and it was possibly bollocks) The other wasn't her. stealth/stranded possibly?

I once contributed a fiver on Kreecher's behalf to an appeal of some kind-she didn't have PayPal, and she sent it back to me.
