I have horrific acid reflux and nothing is helping. Knackered but can’t sleep.

Why are you still awake?

Because it's only 8:20 PM here in New York?

I get acid reflux from time to time, but pretty mildly. Have you seen your GP about it?

Threeminis · 02/01/2019 01:24

Because I was really, really hungover and fell asleep too early

Sosounhappy · 02/01/2019 01:24

I suffer with reflux too so feel your pain...

I slept in til 11:30am so my brain isn't ready for sleep Hmm

MadameFoner · 02/01/2019 01:25

I'm always awake around this time. Even though I'm back In work tmrw my mind won't switch off. Feel sorry for you with acid though, its bloody horrible x

DonaldDucksTowel · 02/01/2019 01:26

Because I’m lay next to asthmatic DS trying to decide whether to take him to A&E or not
He says he doesn’t want to go but I’m fairly sure we’ll be there before morning so might as well go now ... but he’s semi asleep so I think he can’t be struggling that much
Argh I don’t know what to do

I had awful acid reflux when pregnant OP you have my sympathies, I never realised how painful it could be

ClandestineAdulation · 02/01/2019 01:26

Perfectly reasonable, MissConductUS; I’m at that point in tiredness where logic fails me. Lack of sleep last night, too.

I have a doctor’s appointment coming up. I have tablets on prescription but they aren’t doing their job at the moment.

I finished work at midnight, came in, had a hot bath and now I'm eating a crappy microwave burger for my dinner.

mmmgoats · 02/01/2019 01:27

I have no idea! Spent all day feeling shattered to the point of exhaustion and now am wide awake.

sparkly72 · 02/01/2019 01:27

Strong coffee after dinner Confused

Confuzzlediddled · 02/01/2019 01:27

I have a cough and it hurts to breathe Sad had promised the DC we would go shopping tomorrow but I think I may have to brave the GP (I have chronic conditions so probably need to get the cough checked)

Pieceofpurplesky · 02/01/2019 01:28

I have Norovirus and have been ill for 2 days. Projectile vomit has eased now - just the other end to clear up. I haven't eaten or slept (for more than a nap) since Sunday breakfast.

BartonHollow · 02/01/2019 01:28

I'm one of life's insomniacs, nocturnal creature, but also, I had a tough chat at 10pm and haven't wound down.

ReaganSomerset · 02/01/2019 01:28

Can't sleep. Got up at 10 this morning and now my mind won't shut up. Think I'll just have to be knackered tomorrow so I can sleep.

ClandestineAdulation · 02/01/2019 01:28

DonaldDucksTowel, that’s awful, how old is he? If you’ll think you’ll end up there anyway then you may as well... has he been like this before?

Hope you’re okay, sosounhappy?

Pieceofpurplesky · 02/01/2019 01:29

I am also an insomniac so it's nothing new. Peppermint tea is good for acid reflux

Armchairanarchist · 02/01/2019 01:29

Pain. I have short bowel syndrome and was too laid down in bed and now it feels like the worst reflux even though I'm now propped up.

summerblues · 02/01/2019 01:29

Restless leg syndrome Sad

Armchairanarchist · 02/01/2019 01:30

I have restless leg syndrome too.

Chottie · 02/01/2019 01:30

I'm back to work today and not looking forward to it one bit. I had a dream (nightmare) about work and it woke me up..........

namechangedbutneedadvice · 02/01/2019 01:31

Sorry you're suffering OP. I too get acid reflux with vomiting occasionally, it's bloody horrible. Hope the doc sorts it out.

I'm awake as I think I've got a urinary tract infection. Self-diagnosed. It's awful, never had one before.... Constant urge to wee but minimal wee and it's bloody and burns when I do. Sorry for TMI.... Am at the end of my tether arrgh.

mamaduckbone · 02/01/2019 01:31

Because I lay in too late this morning and because I’m fretting about lots of things. Real life has crept into my brain after switching off over Christmas.

DonaldDucksTowel · 02/01/2019 01:31

He’s 9, yes we’ve been a few times before but as he’s getting older it’s getting harder to tell when he needs to go for some reason, maybe because a toddler struggling to breathe just seems scarier than an older child?
His inhaler has eased it slightly, enough for him to drift into a bit of a sleep but honestly not enough for my liking so I’m lay here awake arguing with myself

TornFromTheInside · 02/01/2019 01:31

Back at work in the morning (today), cant sleep

SquigglePigs · 02/01/2019 01:31

Feeding my 4 week old. Looking forward to when the cluster feeding dies down!
