How many people know identical triplets?

A comment on another thread started me thinking (this is not a TAAT though!)

How common are identical triplets? I've looked at stats online but I'm more interested in how it translates to real life.

I'm a teacher and in all my years teaching I've taught one set of identical triplets. They were super identical - same voice, handwriting, drawing style, personality. It was uncanny (in a nice way)

I have taught another set of non identical triplets and my sister has too (different school). I know a lady who has triplets grandsons (two identical, one not).

I know one set of identical twins, have taught in two other schools with two other pairs.

How many identical triplets do you know?

I know two sets of boy triplets, both in my year group at school! I always assumed both sets were identical as they were, well, identical, but I actually have no idea.

3 sets of triplets
All ivf 2 identical boys
1 identical twin boys plus one boy who is v similar but non identical

There is a set of identical triplets in our village. My ds2 is friends with one of them.

I posted another message further up but I think it got lost. Basically I remembered I was in school with identical g triplets.

I remember seeing a TV program once about triplets. Three boys, two identical and one totally different. The identical ones were best friends and bullied and completely excluded the other triplet. His dad was his best friend. It was so sad

There was a set of identical girl triplets at dc's preschool. They moved away when they were 2 but their mum and I stay in touch via facebook, they are 5 now. I also went to school with a set of non identical quads.

I’ve taught two sets of triplets. One was two girls and a boy, all non-identical. The other was also two girls and a boy but the girls were identical. I don’t actually know if I’ve taught identical twins, some who look very similar but I don’t know if they were actually identical.

I knew a set of quads at a playgroup I used to go to, they were BBGG and super cute. Their mum used have them all on reins and they’d charge in front of her like a pack of huskies . She was amazing, they were far better behaved than my wild third child .

I’ve only known one set of triplets from my school days.

Blonde girl, brunette girl, ginger boy. All looked completely different facially but all very small and slight in build.

I've if the cutest things I have ever seen was 6 week old triplet Boys all lying side by side in a cot at work. One of them had been in for a hernia repair. The three little bald heads were just unimaginably cute!

Back in the seventies there were triplets in our school, a bit and identical girls. They had their own triplet language, and the older sister, who was in my class, was often sent for to help their teacher understand what they were saying.

There is a documentary film coming out about identical triplets that were split at birth for adopti9n. They found each other when 2 of them started at the same college and were mistaken for each other. There was a lot of publicity about them and a third man came forward.
It turns out they were part of an unethical social experiment and may have been quads but the 4th one died at birth. Its called Three Identical Strangers

We live near quadruplets! Two identical girls then a girl and a boy. The doctors say they are more like two sets of twins.

Jeez for someone who started the thread I didn't remember the triplets I've met very well, I've just remembered there were triplet boys in our school a year or two ago. Not identical but similar, like you'd know they were brothers.
So that's two sets of identical triplets (both girls)
And two sets of fraternal, one boys, one girls. So three sets that I've met in my life

I knew identical triplets where i grew up. Think they’re probably in their 40s now.
