I feel a bit boring, no plans apart from nipping to shop at some point to grab some bits for tonight. It’ll just be DH and I this evening and an early night as I’m on call tomorrow. Anyone else as dull as I am?

Vynolo · 31/12/2018 08:50

Work then bed before midnight as I've got work tomorrow too, wild party animal that I am Grin

HolyMountain · 31/12/2018 08:53

Dh and I are going for a NYE lunch somewhere in town , a moozy around the shops then home for a quiet night in .

DinosApple · 31/12/2018 08:53

Work, banking, Tesco, MIL (birthday today), home relax. Bed before midnight I imagine.

And tomorrow probably the seaside with the DC.

It doesn't feel very new year eve-sy iykwim.

CakeNinja · 31/12/2018 08:54

Pub lunch, walk and then ‘home’ for a party.
Not our real home, a holiday house as we are away with a big group for new year.

GrumpyOldMare · 31/12/2018 08:55

Working. And tomorrow too.

troubleswillbeoutofsight · 31/12/2018 08:55

Little Grandson helping me take down the tree and decorations. Waiting for a delivery from DPS then hopefully we'll have time to go swimming. I don't see in the New Year but will have a glass of fizz early evening and reflect on the year past and look forward to better times next year.

hmwhatsmynameagain · 31/12/2018 08:56

Booked in at the hairdressers for a cut and colour, I haven't been since Nov 2017.
My New Years resolution is to take more care of myself so Start as I mean to go on.

Hocuspocusy · 31/12/2018 08:56

Ooh pub lunch sounds nice.

No, it doesn’t feel very New Year’s Eve-y does it!

DinosApple I read that as 'work, wanking...' Blush

DH is taking DS to his cousins house for tea and cake, then they're going to see the Man with the Big Nose (Catalan tradition). I'm off to Tiger to find cracker fillers for our friends, we are going to theirs for a NYE dinner with others. They're all Catalan and have never experienced the joy that is a cracker Grin I am trying to think if translatable jokes...

What did the 0 say to the 8? Nice belt!

Any more jokes greatly received ...

justtypicalme · 31/12/2018 09:00

My gran is being discharged from hospital today after a long 11 weeks recovery from a stroke and moving into a care home. Today will be spent making sure she is settled and keeping my grandad company.

Will be curling up on the sofa with a chinese, bottle of wine and film tonight.

Pub lunch sounds lovely!

Redglitter · 31/12/2018 09:01

itsallgravybaby · 31/12/2018 09:08

"Working from home"

I've just had a McDonald's breakfast and I'm back in my PJs to send a maximum of 3 emails today :)

CmdrIvanova · 31/12/2018 09:11

Working. Am having my breakfast time lunch break now. Then swapping over the DC at PILs so DH can work, dinner and bed and packing to go stay with my family tomorrow. Exciting, no.

SweetPeaPods · 31/12/2018 09:11

Popping into town with dc as got a couple of bits to return and collect. Dh is sleeping off a night shift. Might treat the dc to lunch before we go to a friends this evening.

hidinginthenightgarden · 31/12/2018 09:13

Ds has a hospital appointment. Going to suggest DH takes DS to trampoline park for an hour whilst I take DD out on her new balance bike.

Hocuspocusy · 31/12/2018 09:14

We’ve decided we may go to the cinema later on today - any recommendations?

hmwhatsmynameagain · 31/12/2018 09:15

Thanks Hocus

Mummyilovejokes1 · 31/12/2018 09:16

Popping to town to browse kids shoes, lunch in Wagamama, then park so kids can burn off some energy and home. Will have a chilled eve tonight and go to bed usual time Grin

southnownorth · 31/12/2018 09:18

Meal out this afternoon then panto this evening. Then back home for the bells.

happypotamus · 31/12/2018 09:24

DDs stayed at grandparents last night, but we hadn't made any plans because we didn't expect DD2 to go as she has never stayed there before, is a terrible sleeper anyway and says she doesn't like sleeping anywhere other than her own bed. I had a lie-in until 8am and a whole 8hrs uninterrupted sleep except when I woke up worrying about stuff. DH is still asleep. I don't know what time DDs are coming home, because DH said he would sort that out with his parents. I need to wash my hair, attempt to tidy away some of the Christmas presents except we have no space for any toys, tidy up a bit because you can't move in our house for things. Might have a nap for a hour or so this afternoon, then cook dinner, get DDs ready for bed, get ready and go to work.

Starlight90 · 31/12/2018 09:35

Waiting for DH to go to work. He’s in and out, under my feet. Ill tidy up, wash the floors with my new spray mop 😁 exciting times, really, i love it!

Shop to get some fruit, them mountain walk after lunch. Get some air into my lungs as im still feeling bleugh......

tonight is Chinese and a film.

drinkswineoutofamug · 31/12/2018 09:40

Giving the house a dam good tidy and decontamination as all got the lurgy. Putting presents away. Usual everyday stuff. Early bed tonight as I'm coughing up my lungs , but if the mumsnet nye Party turns up I'm in!

CrispbuttyNo1 · 31/12/2018 09:42
