Knowledgeable people of Mumsnet, can you help me out to identify this rock star. A friend has this on their wall with a signed guitar but can’t remember who it is or what band they were in! We have ruled out several inc Steven Tyler. Can anyone assist please?

Is it Kelly Hansen from foreigner?

Ian Astbury has had so many looks, short hair, long hair, porky, skinny, goatee, no goatee, can’t find an image that fits but it was my first thought. But, he does have some big lower arm tats and there doesn’t seem to be any in that pic.

Dave Grohl fom the Foo Fighters?

Can you ask your friend to send you a photo of the guitar?

It is quite possible that it is an actor. My Dad thought he looked like Ben Whishaw. That might make sense if it’s a still from a film considering my friend’s profession.

The bracelets kind of match if it is Kelly Hansen (am way too invested in this now )

I’m not sure the wedding ring thing should be looked at too much for any suspects just as the image might be reversed and you can’t tell with his arm in the air.

I think it's Kelly Hansen as well. Can't find the exact photo online but the face, hair, waistcoat + bracelets and rings all match a lot of his photos.

Also, he appears to point a lot.

No idea on the guitar front. I’ve just messaged my friend’s girlfriend to see if it triggers anything now. I need to find out the story behind it now. Thanks all for helping and being interested
