Who is this rock star please?

Knowledgeable people of Mumsnet, can you help me out to identify this rock star. A friend has this on their wall with a signed guitar but can’t remember who it is or what band they were in! We have ruled out several inc Steven Tyler. Can anyone assist please?

Dave Grohl has a bit more facial hair.

It agree it does look like a young Steve Tyler.

It also looks a bit like an early picture of Kelly Jones rom Stereophonics.

My friend has forgotten who it is! I should have taken a photo of the guitar. I won’t be round there again for a week or so. It was just driving his girlfriend nuts that he couldn’t remember. He works in the media so meets lots of celebs all the time and isn’t in the least bit starry. But he’s got this lovely guitar hanging up and it’s a shame we don’t know whose it is!
