Did you capture opening presents Christmas morning or were are you too caught up in it all?

We have no video

Moonstoned · 29/12/2018 10:34

I think I took one photo of our six year old attacking his stocking, but otherwise, no. I think documenting everything is tragic.

wendz86 · 29/12/2018 10:34

I have a few pictures .

I did a time lapse of the present opening. And the odd photo.

Notso · 29/12/2018 10:36

No, we are not a photo/video kind of family.

museumum · 29/12/2018 10:38

I took one photo. Ds loves looking back in our photo books from previous years.

CrookedMe · 29/12/2018 10:39

I took one video of the kids as they ran into the room to see their presents but that was it.

I made the decision not to take a load of photos one year after I felt like that's all I did. I had few memories of the actual day!

Alanamackree · 29/12/2018 10:40

We took a video this year. It’s not very interesting now but isnt it the duty of every parent to collect embarrassment-inducing evidence to torture offspring when they turn 21, bring home partners, and have children themselves?

MyNameIsJane · 29/12/2018 10:42

My mum wanted a video of her presents being opened.

ifoundthebread · 29/12/2018 10:43

I took a couple of pictures of my ds 9mo with a toy he took interest in while we waited for dd3 to wake. I recorded her entering the room for her reaction and that's all.

Whyareweallhere · 29/12/2018 11:10

Like I said , No video but few photos and Xmas eve photos

megletthesecond · 29/12/2018 11:13

No. I never do this.

OhioOhioOhio · 29/12/2018 11:16

A couple for whatsapp. Whats a time lapse video?

Sowhataboutthat · 29/12/2018 15:16

I took some photos of the kids

Shopperami · 29/12/2018 17:41

Thanks all

Yes, still photos only, for our own albums, not social media.

TheGreenDot · 29/12/2018 19:01

@OhioOhioOhio
It’s a fiction on the iPad it recorded the half hour or so of slow opening presents then condensed it to about 32 seconds of is speeding about much easier and amusing to watch.
I set it up in the corner and leave it.

LeonoraFlorence · 29/12/2018 19:04

Yes. Video and photos. We always do a video of the girls going into the living room and opening gifts! Nobody holds it though, it’s set up in corner.

CMOTDibbler · 29/12/2018 19:13

No, seems like an odd thing to do tbh. A photo of child with a present from someone not there to send and say thank you, perhaps, but not otherwise

FluffyMcCloud · 29/12/2018 19:15

No, I was too busy being part of it all!

SauvignonBlanche · 29/12/2018 19:16

No, of course not.

Gimmeesugar · 29/12/2018 19:18

What newspaper/ magazine is this little poll going to end up in eh?!

Coconut0il · 29/12/2018 19:22

I took a few photos and DP took about 5 mins of video. DS1, 12, often asks to watch old videos/dvds of when he was younger.

Processedpea · 29/12/2018 19:24

I have one video from 5 years or so ago it's really nice to look back on so glad I did it then

littlerabbitfoo · 29/12/2018 19:25

Couple of photos of actual opening and a couple of ‘posed’ ones to send to gift givers.
It’s lovely to catch thier faces as they open something they love but equally good to see it for yourself rather than through the lens
