I can confirm there were dogs in the river at Bourton on the Water - they looked a bit chilly, and the ducks didn't bat an eyelid.

Tried to catch one in a photo, but couldn't get past the tourists in time.

Happy boxing day folks..

I have also paddled in the river at Bourton. 1976 it was, and about three inches deep. The weather was so hot I felt like lying down full length in it, but I didn't think the coach driver would let me back on if I did, what with all the green slimy pondweed and everything. So I didn't.

Wasn't "Brum the Car" from Birmingham originally?

Mum2OneTeen · 27/12/2018 03:26

I can confirm that there is a dog sleeping on our bed keeping cool in the air-con. He'd happily go for a swim if someone would take him.

Am now a bit concerned about the remaining mince pies in the house. Perhaps I should eat them all in order to keep them out of the way of all the dogs that aren't here?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/12/2018 12:53

You have to, stubbornstains, it's the only way. It's your duty to keep the dogs safe, whatever it takes.

MrsTommyBanks · 27/12/2018 13:18

Eat the mince pies. Dogs safety first.

I can now confirm that Brum is in the Cotswold Motor Museum in Bourton.

"I'm really fucked off with fish these days" Grin

I can confirm I am not fucked off with fish and I STILL do not have 3 mixed breed doggies in my flat. (Will they never no go ?)

XmasPostmanBos · 28/12/2018 14:44

I can confirm my dog has been over indulged over Christmas and I had to let her out twice in the night so she is now on bland foods only and she looks a bit cross.

QuinionsRainbow · 28/12/2018 14:57

I can confirm that Wikipedia lists at least nine placd called Bourton in Englnd alone. I haven't looked to see how many of them have a river, but I expect that they all have some dogs.
