What gin did you get for Christmas?

This was a fab thread last year. I've got some Aber Falls Orange Marmalade Gin and planning to buy some others with Christmas money.

I bought a bottle of 3 Pugs Bubblegum Gin for my niece and her husband.

Also bought other family members other booze including glittery toffee vodka, Dead Mans Fingers Coffee Rum and a bottle of Kraken rum too.

No no no Schweppes here or bitter lemon. Reminds me of being a youth. No wkd blue in my day

Looking forward to trying the Caorunn now. And thank you for the apple slice recommendation! And Fever Tree elderflower/ Mediterranean tonic. It's on the shopping list. ☺️👍🏻💐

My mother drank a bottle of Gordons every Saturday night in the 60s. Hardcore.
Masons gin is fab. I have lots of Yorkshire gin in my cupboard. Wrights in Skipton is the place to go!

Tesco own brand tonic is very good. We've taste tested against fevertree. Fevertree is very slightly better but not enough for us to justify the cost difference and DH is generally a purist when it comes to doing alcohol to its best.

We'd done the taste test after seeing one on tv doing the same thing and coming to the same conclusion. If I remember correctly schweppes didn't fair so well on the tv test.

I got this one. My favourite is (Spanish) Fresha. Can't stand Silent Pool. It's quite local to us and you can't get away from it. Lovely bottle and glasses mind. I am a heathen though as I've been happy with Gordon's for decades!

RedToothBrush Good to know about Tesco tonic as I have four large bottles of the stuff in the boot.

I'm part of 2 Gin clubs, 1 of them sends monthly 2 miniatures and 1 of them sends a big bottle quarterly. This picture is the Dec 'ILoveGin.com' box.

I don't like some of the gimmicky heavily flavoured gins, which are more sweet liquers than anything else. if money no object then Isle of Harris Gin is good, also like Jawbox Belfast gin.
otherwise Bombay Sapphire or good old Gordons will do it.

I had a gin advent calendar. So far my favourite was the Lakes Distillery Rhubarb and Rosehip, but I'm keeping an open mind as to which will be my favourite... the Edinburgh raspberry one was very nice also!

@dementedma until I had my children I loved Bombay sapphire, but since having the three of them for some reason I cannot stand the taste. It makes me feel like I'm drinking marzipan. I can just about stomach the dry version.
Husband bought me a litre of the blue bottle one Christmas in between pregnancies and I couldn't touch it!

Rhubarb and ginger, problem is I don't like gin, I asked for vodka!!

Glad to hear positive things about the Adnams. Didn't explain myself as was in a rush but this friend of wine works in the booze trade, and we seem to have the exact same tastes in drinks.

Ps with please don't call me middle class! If I knew drinking gin was taking me down socially I'd stick to white burgundy!

My fave is Hendricks.

Tyree Gin....gorgeous....just about to crack it open!! (Although I had an Arran Gin last night and May well be tempted in the future!)

Caourunn is perfect with a slice of red apple. I got Blue Monkey, Dodds and Marylebone. Envious of the Monkey 47, that's really nice. Current favourite is Brockmans, so smooth and almost creamy.
