What gin did you get for Christmas?

This was a fab thread last year. I've got some Aber Falls Orange Marmalade Gin and planning to buy some others with Christmas money.

I bought a bottle of 3 Pugs Bubblegum Gin for my niece and her husband.

Also bought other family members other booze including glittery toffee vodka, Dead Mans Fingers Coffee Rum and a bottle of Kraken rum too.

Da Mhile Seaweed Gin! Never tried it before...but willing to give it a go!

I only got a miniature of pink gin, but I live alone and don't drink on my own so it takes me years to get through gin. I had a party Friday and we polished off two bottles (Plymouth gin and Adams Copper House) so I do have room for a couple more even though I still have five other ones.
Heartily recommend Plymouth gin btw.

I got my niece a box of gin aromatics, i.e. the bits you put in gin like pink peppercorns, juniper berries etc. She liked that. And her bf bought two bottles for us all to share, from Germany.

I am not a gin drinker - more of a whisky girl - but MIL bought me a LITRE of Hendricks. With a little ceramic tea cup and saucer set in the box. Tempted to crack it open later once the prosecco has worn off.

Is it a good one? I've steered clear of gin really as I've been a bit snobby about it as it's such a 'thing' at the moment. But maybe I've been missing out?!

@Stephisaur Silent Pool is lovely - it's made in Surrey and has a fab bottle.

I got a bottle of Roku Japanese gin and a bottle of plum and vanilla Edinburgh gin. Amongst other alcohol based gifts 😁

Oh and yes. Hendricks is very nice. Traditionally served with cucumber rather than lime. Don't buy cheap tonic, it has a big impact of the overall flavour of the drink :)

Non as I'm currently 7 months pregnant but BIL has got a nice collection - haig club, aviator and a few others!

I love Hendrick’s. It’s supposed to be served with cucumber but I like it better with lemon

I've got Sheffield dry gin: original, spiced fig & victoria plum and raspberry & pomegranate .

The spiced fig and victoria plum is rather delicious!😁

None this year as I still have 6 bottles - yes, that's SIX - still untouched from last year's mammoth haul plus the top-up of Ali's Damson Gin and Ali's Orange Voka she brought me when she visited in October. (Ali was my manager in a previous chapter!)

A bottle of Harris gin which is in a beautiful bottle and a large gift set of fever tree tonic with various gin miniatures. Already opened the Harris gin, it's divine.

Do people drink gin neat or is it better with tonic? Not sure I like the thought of having it with cucumber, especially in winter, but it's definitely worth a try.

I got some Puerto de Indias Strawberry Gin and also some raspberry gin liqueur. I have just finished my bottle of damraiders gin so I think I will buy another bottle of that with the money I got for Christmas.

Duggees you’d have to be pretty hardcore to drink it near! I love gin, try getting some Fever tree tonic, it’s far less tart than most tonics and really makes gin enjoyable.

I received Warner Edwards Rhubarb gin from DH. He dropped heavy hints it was coming so I bought some Fever tree ginger ale in anticipation. It’s delfiious!

Someone up thread mentioned unicorn tears gin, that’s gorgeous. My local pub serves it with pink lemonade

I got a parma violet gin. I'm not sure what to put with it. Any ideas?

I've got a bottle of London distilled Dry Gin, a bottle of Violet gin and a bottle of kraken black spiced rum along with a big pack of fever tree elderflower tonic waters. I don't drink a lot so that's probably me sorted for the next year to be honest.

I got a bottle of Zymergorium parma violet gin. I'll be drinking it with lemonade.

@RightOnTheEdge I got that last year and LOVEDDD it.

Parma violet goes well with tonic. I find lemonade destroys the flavour too much.

I got a bottle of Parma violet, a bottle of Empress, and a fever tree tonic/miniatures/glass set. Lovely.

I have always been a gin drinker for 35 years but most of the new faddy guns are just crap.

We get give. Gin by everyone and it is a rubbish gift
