This was a fab thread last year. I've got some Aber Falls Orange Marmalade Gin and planning to buy some others with Christmas money.

I bought a bottle of 3 Pugs Bubblegum Gin for my niece and her husband.

Also bought other family members other booze including glittery toffee vodka, Dead Mans Fingers Coffee Rum and a bottle of Kraken rum too.

Dorothy Parker Gin.
I know have 17 bottles of gin in various opened states. My favourite is from.a small distillery in Wales...Dyfi gin.

Fairypiggy · 26/12/2018 08:16

Audemus pink peppercorn gin for me.

BigGreenOlives · 26/12/2018 08:21

Hidden Curiosity (Yuzu & cardamom), doesn’t appeal, looks try hard from DH.

Cocoa gin from Hotel Chocolate from DS, luckily just 2 miniatures. Had one yesterday with flat tonic water. Not my thing at all.

Why don’t people notice that I buy classic gin to drink rather than weird flavors? I’ve bought Plymouth, Sipsmith, Jarrolds & Hendricks over the last year. I also have a bottle of Sipsmith’s sloe gin for winter sipping.

Slingsby Rhubarb and Mason Tea gin. Both my favourites. The rhubarb got opened yesterday and I had to share 😫

I love a bit of Masons Lavender Gin in the summer!

Adnams gin is good stuff IMHO so the quince version should be good. I was given a miniature of Whitley’s Quince Gin a few months ago and it was delicious. It smelled a bit ‘meh’ in the bottle, but mixed with tonic, was great. If you like the taste and smell of pear drops, you’ll love it.

Happy drinking!

SimplyPut · 26/12/2018 11:23

@OrdinaryGirl it's one of my favourites. Our local gin shop suggested drinking it with fevertree Mediterranean tonic and a slice of red apple. I have been doing so ever since!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 26/12/2018 11:44

Hendricks

Eatmycheese · 26/12/2018 12:11

@SimplyPut yes it is a gorgeous gin and tonic with that combination.
It's also very nice with pink lady apple slices and a mix of elderflower and Mediterranean tonic!

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/12/2018 12:19

I don't get this ridiculous wannabe middle class gin obsession at the moment

maggycool · 26/12/2018 12:23

@OrdinaryGirl Caorunn is lovely, with a slice of crisp apple. 👌🏻

Bunnyhop1502 · 26/12/2018 12:32

I got a bottle of Opihr which I’ve never tried before! Will report back when I can see again.

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 26/12/2018 12:34

With try a glass of gin love....then you will understand.Wink

We’ve got some Bombay Sapphire here but I’ve not opened it,

My sister gave me some pink gin ...again unopened as yet.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 26/12/2018 12:38

Hendricks, pink gin & the coloured bottles from Tesco. Never tried that one but I’d comment how pretty they were and DH remembered :)

Eatmycheese · 26/12/2018 12:39

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes this is a lighthearted thread for gin lovers. Most of us were drinking it before it was so fashionable I'd hazard a guess.
And I'm not middle class either thank god GrinGrinGrin

Ginandsonicscrewdriver · 26/12/2018 12:41

Alnwick gin, not tried it but the bottle is impressive!

DeloresJaneUmbridge · 26/12/2018 12:45

Been drinking gin since the late 1980s so not a recent thing for me.

I live in a house rented from the HA. Not middle class.

I just like gin.

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 26/12/2018 12:51

I've drank gin for ages 🙄
It's this trend that is aimed at yummy mummy's that makes me 🙄🙄🙄

Piggywaspushed · 26/12/2018 12:53

DMIL has realised via FB that I quite like gin so got me Edinburgh Gin raspberry liquer. I love raspberries but this is not gin and I do not like liquer. Can't even sell it as facebook and Ebay won't let me so it will hang around looking sad next to my overlooked Amaretto.

In the meantime, I 'gifted myself' Bathtub Sloe Gin (yum yum) and lovely Spanish Gin : Mare. That's nearly gone now. It's fabulous.

Piggywaspushed · 26/12/2018 12:56

I also have an undrunk Gordon's Pink Gin. This I do not like.

I am Glaswegian and still call gin Grandmother's Ruin. Not posh. But the artisan pub thing does irritate. Asked for a G and T in a pub on Christmas Eve and got fed up of all the questions. Just give me a gin already!

VanGoghsDog · 26/12/2018 13:07

@BigGreenOlives. Yeah, I'm not big on the flavoured ones either.

Been drinking gin over thirty years though.

BigGreenOlives · 26/12/2018 13:11

I didn’t enjoy gin at all until I had fevertree, Schweppes has too strong a flavour for me. Now I have to figure out who to give the peculiar stuff to.

MissDemelzaCarne · 26/12/2018 13:11

I got Kirkjuvagar Orkney gin from DH after dropping some heavy hints Xmas Grin

HashTagLil · 26/12/2018 13:24

I got a box of mini MASONS gin. They're based in North Yorkshire. I've tried their Earl Grey one before and really liked it.

Jimmychoo69 · 26/12/2018 13:32

Two bottles of Boe's Peach & Hibiscus gin Liqueur! Love it

IslaMann · 26/12/2018 13:34

The King Soho London Dry from DS, on recommendation from his mates who work in a gin bar. Also a miniature Williams Elegant 48 and a bottle of Harvey Nichols own brand tonic from my work secret Santa.
