What gin did you get for Christmas?

This was a fab thread last year. I've got some Aber Falls Orange Marmalade Gin and planning to buy some others with Christmas money.

I bought a bottle of 3 Pugs Bubblegum Gin for my niece and her husband.

Also bought other family members other booze including glittery toffee vodka, Dead Mans Fingers Coffee Rum and a bottle of Kraken rum too.

@OrdinaryGirl

I bought that for my sister last year and it was nice. From Lidl I think.

dementedma · 25/12/2018 19:49

when you have finished the Isle of harris Gin, put tiny fairy lights in the bottle. looks so pretty. Sipsmiths miniatures for me and a lovely gin glass.

Whatififall · 25/12/2018 19:51

Hortus Rhubarb & Ginger. It tastes just as good as the Edinburgh Gin version.

The Botanist and Chase GB. Looking forward to trying both!

MamaLovesMango · 25/12/2018 20:04

A nice one. I can’t remember what it is.

Maybe I’ve had too much.... Gin

GlitterPixie · 25/12/2018 20:05

Boyle’s Raspberry Blush

sulflower · 25/12/2018 20:06

Thanks @dementedma, that's a great idea.

ButtMuncher · 25/12/2018 20:22

We got Roku - but have been drinking it regularly generally.

I used to shag the guy who owns the Parma violet distillery in Manchester. Years ago mind you Grin

brizzledrizzle · 25/12/2018 20:22

Parma violet gin! No idea what it's going to be like.

HisBetterHalf · 25/12/2018 21:47

Sorgin, blend of small batch gin and sauvignon blanc

HairyDogsFeet · 25/12/2018 21:53

The parma violet gin isn't really a gin- more of a liquor. Very low alcohol. its is a fur coat drink

Greenteandchives · 25/12/2018 21:58

Malfy Blood Orange. Hope it’s nice.

brizzledrizzle · 25/12/2018 22:03

We've got the Whitley Neill parma gin, it's 40% so perhaps different to the liquor ones. I've never had gin to drink so I'm clueless about it.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/12/2018 22:12

Whitley Neill. I'm planning to buy some Aber Falls with my Christmas money, possibly some Lone Wolf as well if I can stretch to it

ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow · 25/12/2018 22:16

Edinburgh rhubarb and ginger, Boe's Spiced Orange (lovely drunk neat as it's like a liqueur!!) and a selection of wee bottles from Riverside (damson, passionfruit etc).

I love Boe's Violet, often drink it with fresh rasps and a bit of raspberry liqueur - I have Raspberrylicious from Orkney - and some tonic.

I now have enough gin to last a lifetime.

Eatmycheese · 25/12/2018 23:07

Whitley’s violet gin
Arber gin
King of Soho
Annoy Kent Dry gin

Hangs head in gin induced shame

theluckiest · 25/12/2018 23:19

Tanqueray Rangpur here too. DH doesn't drink but is ever so clever when it comes to buying booze! Well done DH!

'Tis lovely.

Eatmycheese · 25/12/2018 23:43

Anno not annoy Hmm

CisMyArse · 25/12/2018 23:56

None! I was hoping for the palma violet one but got none.

Never Mind. Looks
Like I'll be buying my own in the New Year!

Ivegotthree · 25/12/2018 23:59

I got this and was very excited but then a friend told me she doesn't like Adnams so now I'm not sure.

Haven't opened it yet. It's quince flavoured.

What gin did you get for Christmas?
pisspawpatrol · 26/12/2018 00:04

Sipsmith Sloe Gin, very lovely with ice and a slice of lemon and Foxdenton Damson Gin, which has a very lovely warming feel to it.

Cakemonger · 26/12/2018 00:43

Edinburgh plum and vanilla, same as last year Smile

VanGoghsDog · 26/12/2018 03:33

Adnams Copper House gin is lovely. Not sure why your friend not liking something means you won't. I've not tried the quince one though.

ILoveAnOwl · 26/12/2018 08:09

Ludlow Dry Gin, the spiced one. Yum!
