Anyone else poorly right now?

I am so pissed off. I have a horrible cold, just managed to get through the Christmas party on Friday drugged up to the eyeballs, hacking strange things up, not sleeping.

Supposed to be going to a concert tonight, have to pick up turkey tomorrow, Ocado has run out of bread so have to go to supermarket tomorrow as well. (First world problem, I know!)

I had just got over the flu, and now I have to get through Christmas with a stinky cold.

Please tell me that I’m not the only one!

DD has been ill since halfterm & I eventually succumbed - woke up yesterday morning with the sore throat from hell & have since developed a blocked up nose.

Yes, constant tickly cough bringing up gack, keeping peeing myself! Feel hot and lethargic and now got the shits. I used to love winter until I had kids bringing germs in.

It’s completely shit. I also really hate when you get one bug on top of another. I reckon I had about five days of feeling OK before I came down with this latest lurgy.

Have got cellulitis, my leg looks like an extra from a zombie film. I feel terrible. Have had a week off work but need to go in tomorrow, i hope i make it. I haven't felt this bad in a long time. Hope everyone feels better soon.

Woke up a bit coldy. Now ache all over, thick head, high temp.
Am hosting Christmas when all I want to do is lie on the sofa watching films

I blame the school kids. My class were dropping like flies last week so I've succumbed just in time for the holidays.

Me laid on sofa feeling sick. Had a bad chest and cough past few days which triggered my health anxiety. Just had a hot lemon but feel like I could throw it all up.

Me..... I've been ill since the beginning of December. Started as a cold which has never gone away. Have a day or so of feeling ok so think it's all gone then BAM I wake up with a headache, snotty nose and a cough and it starts all over again. I work in a Pre-school and the little darlings were dropping like flies before we broke up but there is always one who coughs or sneezes right in your face. I'm normally quite good at not catching anything but this year I've had everything. I've had the flu jab for the last couple of years and both years have been ill. I'm hoping it will go with having a break away from work but DD2 has started shivering, coughing and spluttering today so maybe not.

and for everyone suffering at the mo.

I’m on my fourth round of antibiotics for a kidney infection that won’t clear and I’ve had a stinking cold for the last week and a half that won’t clear. It’s not been much fun.

Yeah, me and my son having cold, he isn't getting better unfortunately.🙁Hopefully he will till Christmas.:/
I'm having as a wee extra very sore teeth- can't even eat much, as it bloody sore- my right side of jawline is numbing and pulsing with pain- hate it.:/

Josephine tooth ache is awful. Assuming you can’t get to a dentist for some days Clove oil helps or boots sell dental pain gel which is quite effective. Good luck !

Yes. Chronic health condition. Been ill for about 2 1/2 years I think so far. Too fatigued to do much to get ready for Christmas. It's pants.

Me. Woke up this morning to a sore back, throat, general body ache. . Feel shit.

Been ill with a fluey virus for about a week, feeling just wiped out after doing anything. Worst cough have had in a while. Had been struggling into work with a bad back prior to that. Am battling getting too down about things, as have a history of getting depressed at this time of year, really don’t want to go back there.

Thinking of you guys out there. Your company helps me loads

I also hate the feeling that everyone else is having a brilliant time while I lurch from one dose of paracetamol to my next dose of nurofen.

But i also take my hat off for those of you suffering long term illnesses and send you my best wishes. I have a recurring ongoing issue that has not flared up for a few months so I am thankful that at least I am not coping with that at the moment. That might tip me over the edge.

I'm now recovering (I think). That fabulous time when you need to stand with your back against the wall in order to reduce the pain from coughing. And your sneezes are strong enough to tear through your super-strong paper hanky and deposit ribbons of multi-coloured phlegm along your calf...(and you're standing, not sitting down).

Throat is so sore, and cough is very chesty, raw and tickly. Trouble is is that once it stars to tickle, that’s it and I start retching and gobbing up phlegm. I keep weeing myself too 😂 gutted not to be out with the rest of the family on walk, I feel like I’m on 50% charge at best.

Felt slightly better this morning but bowling didn't do me any good at all (beat DP though) think it might be tonsillitis and luckily everyone else is at full health.

Need to decide if I can go around my parents tomorrow, the main worry is my 99 year old gran.
