Anyone else poorly right now?

I am so pissed off. I have a horrible cold, just managed to get through the Christmas party on Friday drugged up to the eyeballs, hacking strange things up, not sleeping.

Supposed to be going to a concert tonight, have to pick up turkey tomorrow, Ocado has run out of bread so have to go to supermarket tomorrow as well. (First world problem, I know!)

I had just got over the flu, and now I have to get through Christmas with a stinky cold.

Please tell me that I’m not the only one!

Yes we're hacking and snotty here too. And we're hosting. We're taking it in turns to do things so we get everything done.

It all sounds so grim! Hope everyone feels well enough to enjoy a bit of Christmas.

Yup. Brewing something. Hot, cold, trembly, sleepy. Have to go and eat curry and celebrate a birthday in a pub in an hour when I just want to get into pj's and snuggle on sofa.

Just finished antibiotics for a Bartholin cyst, they've given me terrible thrush.
Came down with a horrible UTI yesterday for which I have a new set of antibiotics, so I expect the thrush will be going nowhere.

I am recovering from spinal surgery so won't be able to sit down with family for dinner or watching presents being opened as can't sit down for long periods. For next 2 weeks no more than 10 minutes sitting. I can't stand for long periods of time either. Let alone get downstairs. We are supposed to be going to mil's which husband and kids will be. I will laying in bed with the pup. I hope everyone on here feels better soon. Sending you all gentle Christmas hugs. X

Yep. Chest infection here. Possibly bronchitus. The cough has turned ‘productive’ so I’m barking like a seal every two minutes. Been ill now for about ten days and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Am hosting Christmas and getting worried now that I won’t be well enough. Last time I had a chest infection it turned into pneumonia

And I’m putting in weight because I’m not ding any exercise yet am permanently hungry!

Yep OH and I both poorly and hoping our 3 month old baby doesn’t get it. Not sure what it is but everything hurts, cold then hot etc. Don’t think it’s flu as we both had the jab. Were meant to have friends round this afternoon and I spent ages cooking but we’ve had to cancel. Sucks

I have had a ‘productive’ cough, which is quite disgusting. Last yeT it turned into pneumonia.

I am also sad that I can’t exercise. I’m about half a stone over weight but keep it in check with weights and running, and I haven’t been able to do anything for about four weeks so I am turning flabby and not getting the endorphin rush which is making me sad as well.

Yep, cold on top of a sore throat that I’ve had for 3 weeks. Hurts to swallow/eta etc and just want to sleep but suffering from insomnia again. Such fun!!

Been ill since 6 November with recurrent chest infection. Today doctor prescribed second stronger course of anti biotics. Have felt sick and lost weight - no real appetite. this new tab is foul. My ma died 4 weeks ago so can’t even work out what is illness and what is pure shock and now grief. Really really want at least to feel a bit physically better. Onwards and upwards everyone ! Hugs all.

On a serious note i hope you get well before Xmas or have as best as Xmas as possible in the circumstances. Been there before being ill over Xmas and its no fun

Yes I have been/am. It's taken a good couple of weeks for painkillers to kick in so I only have just finished my shopping today.

Yes! Dd had a d&v bug all last week and I started with just the D part yesterday. Been quarantined in my room all day away from dd,ds and dh who has a delicate stomach in the hope no one else gets it. We are supposed to be hosting family on Xmas day but wont be if im still pooping everywhere.
So sad as ds 4 is so excited.

DH had a bad cold last week and seems to have shifted it but now my head is aching and my entire face hurts

I'm nearly always poorly over Christmas. I've just got over a really nasty cough/cold and have had sinusey type headache for the last two days. Feeling pretty fed up as I keep looking at my wine rack full of lovely champagne and booze and feeling thoroughly fed up that I don't feel remotely like drinking any of it.

I'm on Week Two of a rotten virus. Just feeling generally run-down and headachy and achy and congested.

Go away, stupid virus.

Full of cold here as well. Also just had a tooth out, and to add to the fun I have an appointment at the breast clinic a couple of days after Christmas. I can’t stop prodding my boob and thinking the worst (I’m being very silly, everything suggests it’s just a cyst!).

I have a habit of getting myself in a fuss this time of year. I usually range from getting a cold to full blown flu. Last year my waters broke on the day itself, over a week before my due date. I was not impressed.

Hands up! It’s been like a weird reverse-flu. Started out like a mild cold & cough but got progressively worse over the last 4 days - usually it’s the other way round. All the nice things I meant to do have gone to pot! Think I’m out the other side, but chances are DH is going to fall in just in time for Christmas...

Hideous sore throat bug early December. Then a really heavy cold last week. Woke this morning feeling sick and have alternately vomited/diarrhoead all day. Feel like utter rubbish. Hoping tomorrow will be better (only silver lining is that I got out of working today and tomorrow though my colleagues will have had to pick up the slack and it looks so dodgy ringing in for Christmas Eve)

Yes, I pulled a muscle in my back a week ago which was agony, just as it started to feel better I came down with my current chest infection then today have had a bout of D&V just to top things off. Feels like I'll never be well again!!

I stood up on Thursday evening and my back went. Away for Christmas the next day, so far doing ok on painkillers and wine walking stick. Luckily its just me and DH, been taking it easy whilst doing touristy stuff but feeling it tonight.

Yes, I have tonsillitis and both DC have had temperatures start this evening. We're supposed to be going to family for Christmas Day, but won't be if we're still ill.
