Anyone at work tomorrow

Because it's Sunday and Christmas Eve tomorrow it feels like everyone has finished for Christmas! I'm in tomorrow but only for the morning so at least it's not a full day but I still have to do the Monday morning rush! Anyone else at work tomorrow?

Yes.

Can't say I'm looking forward to it. Stupidly busy today. All tables in the restaurant were full and still had a queue at hot counter for food. Didn't finish on time, either.

Wotrewelookinat · 23/12/2018 19:00

Working tomorrow and over the Christmas period. I’m a vet.

Kezzie200 · 23/12/2018 19:10

Yes. Office based and technically closed but never know if clients have questions. So I let the staff be off all. Christmas from Friday to just after New Year and I open on my own. Its usually quiet and I can get on with allsorts and it means someone can answer questions if anyone calls in.

I will go in real early tomorrow and then probably finish about 3 o'clock.

IWentAwayIStayedAway · 23/12/2018 19:14

Self employed so will do a few hours 1st thing Grin

Fridaydreamer · 23/12/2018 19:18

I am. It’s good as it’ll stop me throttling anyone at home before Xmas day lol Xmas Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 23/12/2018 19:25

Yes but off till 2nd and finish at 2pm

maggienolia · 23/12/2018 19:32

DH is working in the morning, just finishing admin up.
I'm working 6-9pm tomorrow and Boxing day (carer).

Although if certain resident family individuals would be willing to get off their backsides and put Grandma to bed for the massive total of three times a year then we could spend more time with our own families.

Sorry, red mist descended there...as you were.

WhatwouldCJdo · 23/12/2018 19:39

Yes. It's our business and also got 3 staff in who had used up all their annual leave.

Plan is to have pastries in the morning, then chocolates and finish at mid day.
Taking in my children who are setting up the meeting room as a games room (and they are hoping the 3 staff members will join them)

I have loads of work stuff to do so almost looking forward to it and expecting little traffic (Is that wishful thinking?).

Darkestnight · 23/12/2018 19:41

Yes I'm in tomorrow unfortunately I'm so dam tired and pulling a sickie on Thursday as need a break

Greenglassteacup · 23/12/2018 19:43

Yes I’m at work tomorrow too. Nhs.

FTFF · 23/12/2018 19:46

Yip I'm working 2-midnight. Same Christmas Day and Boxing Day..... I'm dreading it.

I work with offenders so it's not a pleasant time of year to be going to work.
The only plus point is that we decided last week to get a takeaway for dinner.

Bringbackthestrioes · 23/12/2018 19:50

Yep. Working tomorrow and then back in the day after Boxing Day. HCP.

happypotamus · 23/12/2018 20:10

Yes, am in charge of a 13hr shift that will almost certainly finish late. Only finished a night shift this morning and have a shit ton of wrapping, tidying, packing still to do tonight before I can go to sleep. Am off Christmas Day, which I am very grateful for, then on another night shift Boxing Day. I may have died of exhaustion by the end of Christmas.

SunnySideUpX · 23/12/2018 20:17

Me!

I work in (community) mental health. I am very lucky to not be in on Christmas day and boxing day. Back in Thursday.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 23/12/2018 21:13

Wow I'm humbled by all the people working Christmas and Boxing Day. Hope you all have as good a shift as you can and I'll get back in my box Grin
Interesting to see everyone's different jobs too.

Me. Im a vet nurse and we are open until 5. It will either be really quiet and we'll get to play exploding kittens or it will be manic and we'll be lucky to get lunch!

Yup, social work, working 8am - 5pm. Luckily have got pretty much everything sorted and am off between xmas day and new year.

Lolimax · 23/12/2018 21:23

Me! By choice. Bank NHS, tomorrow early and Christmas Day early but it means I’m not cooking Christmas dinner for the first time I’m 23 years, DH is and I get to come home, pjs on and a large glass of Prosecco. My ward was already full today so I know it’ll be busy. DD (22) is also working- Mental Health nurse.

BippityBoppity87 · 23/12/2018 21:25

I'm working tomorrow until 8pm, doesn't really bother me. I'm off Christmas Day and Boxing Day though. I've worked Boxing Day every year for the past 10 years, so I thought this year I'd give myself that day off Grin

TitsalinaBumSquash · 23/12/2018 21:26

Me! 🙋🏻‍♀️

I'm a community carer for the elderly and I will be working every day until Friday.

SkippedALightFandango · 23/12/2018 21:27

Me. I’m working Xmas day but off for New Years. I volunteered to work Xmas day as my children are now adults and it’s nice for the younger ones to spend Xmas day with their little ones.

Whisky2014 · 23/12/2018 21:28

Yup. Shame cause I hate it and know there won't be much to do. Didn't have holidays to take :(

MissionItsPossible · 23/12/2018 21:29

Me ☹️
But then I’m off until the 14th of January so 😁

Accountant222 · 23/12/2018 21:30

I'll be working from home tomorrow
