Anyone at work tomorrow

Because it's Sunday and Christmas Eve tomorrow it feels like everyone has finished for Christmas! I'm in tomorrow but only for the morning so at least it's not a full day but I still have to do the Monday morning rush! Anyone else at work tomorrow?

Yep! (NHS) only time it bothers me is when everyone else is off - a lot of my friends & family are usually off for 2 weeks at Christmas and it just bugs me when they assume absolutely everyone is off.

Joanne721 · 23/12/2018 16:41

I`m working tomorrow, not looking forward to catching either tram or bus home as most passengers will probably be "in drink"

maddiemookins16mum · 23/12/2018 16:43

Yep, normal office job (tax accountancy), I think we’re closing at 3pm.

Lonecatwithkitten · 23/12/2018 16:47

Working now ( started 8am Sat) to 8.30 am Boxing Day, 25 hours off, 8.5hour shift, then start again 8am Friday through till 12.30pm Saturday and then I get my Christmas break.

mostlydrinkstea · 23/12/2018 16:50

Yes vicar here so busy time of year.

user1489792710 · 23/12/2018 16:53

Me!! Work for NHS. Looking forward to few hours away from the mayhem at home.

marmiteoncrumpet · 23/12/2018 16:53

I am (NHS Nurse) but I've got Christmas and Boxing Days off.
Today has been busy prepping but I'm on top of it and don't have much to do tomorrow evening. The DC are cooking dinner tomorrow night.

I'm anticipating quite a jolly shift with everyone in a good mood and no emergencies, fingers crossed.

wizzler · 23/12/2018 16:53

I am working... I work in an office and we have someone in on every working day. I pull a full shift on Xmas Eve so my team can go early. They work really hard all year .. so I dont mind

TulipsInbloom1 · 23/12/2018 16:55

Yup but just 9-12.30 then off til 2nd. After 10 years in hospitality, and 5 years in retail before that, this is an alien concept to me!

Drogonssmile · 23/12/2018 16:56

Yep. NHS admin here too. In 7-2 tomorrow. DS2 is in nursery and DH and DS1 will be at home dealing with the shopping delivery and hopefully getting the house ready for the in laws descending on Xmas day, but in reality will probably sit on the sofa eating popcorn and watching films til I come home.

Newsername · 23/12/2018 16:59

Yes, another nhs employee here, I’m in tomorrow doing an evening/night shift, so I will spend 1 hour of Christmas Day at work. I’ve worked on Christmas Day for the past 2 years so this year I’m doing extra special cooking and treats!

Saladd0dger · 23/12/2018 16:59

Our store is opening at 00.01 later. I’m in but overtime

Notmorewashing · 23/12/2018 17:02

Yes I’m working. Sick of everyone bragging re 13 days off as if it’s standard!

Elliss2018 · 23/12/2018 17:07

Me I'm a nurse Smile not back in until Friday after tomorrow so not bad at all.

MinesaPinot · 23/12/2018 17:11

Not me. I got away early (4pm) on Friday afternoon and that's me done until 2 January. Our office is shut tomorrow.

Although I am on holiday, and have plans, I may log in on Thursday and also NYE in the morning to see if anyone needs a hand.

isseywithcats · 23/12/2018 18:08

yep tomorrow, boxing day, new years eve and new years day, after tuesday i have friday off and next friday thats it for the next two weeks

ilovesooty · 23/12/2018 18:32

Yes, tomorrow and Thursday

Allyg1185 · 23/12/2018 18:33

I am till 2.45pm then back on Thursday and Friday. Off the weekend then the same the week after

Fatted · 23/12/2018 18:36

Me and I really don't see the point. Got all my work finished on Friday and doubt anything needing my attention has gone on over the weekend. So I'll be doing my core hours and drinking tea no doubt.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/12/2018 18:38

I'm working Christmas Day night.

Zolaaaaa · 23/12/2018 18:39

Me, i work in the nhs so it goes with the job! I don’t mind working over Xmas though, the wards tend to have a lovely atmosphere Smile

Mulberry72 · 23/12/2018 18:41

I don’t work, but DH is in until 12 so DS and I are going to meet him from work for a nice long lunch.

Toddlerteaplease · 23/12/2018 18:41

Zooala, yes especially as I'm a paediatric nurse. The kids will be as high as kites! Great atmosphere though.

Flambola · 23/12/2018 18:47

I'm doing a 9-2, seems pointless to me but can't change it so there I will be.

dontneedthedrama · 23/12/2018 18:50

Yes , I've got quite a lot to do so don't mind too much . Hopefully will finish early though then I'm off till the 2nd .
