Agree with Beastie Boys, their song Sure Shot basically has a verse calling out all the disrespect women go through, rapping "to all the mothers, sisters, wifes and friends, I wanna offer my love and respect to the end".
And this was back in 1994 when celebrating feminism was not trending on Twitter or as I suspect nowadays used by many male celebs as a good way to enhance their public image.

Love that Andy Murray clip. He is fab. Dh is like him. When I first met one of his university friendship groups they were all women. Fab women I would have been friends with. Seeing women as people is so simple and obvious but so many men don’t.

I don't think sleeping around (if that's what you're alluding to) means someone isn't respectful of women. It is possible to have casual sex in a respectful way.

I think the "womanising" was just part of the 1 direction image. I've heard of him stopping mid song during live shows to check that girls in the audience are ok,that they're not being squashed etc. I've never heard anything bad about him, everyone who meets him says his manners are impeccable, whether you're a famous person or the guy making his coffee, he treats everyone with respect. I'll probably be told Some thing horrible now and deeply regret typing that, but I hope not!

Yes, of course you're absolutely right about John Robins hating everyone in his stand up. I mentioned him because he seams respectful of women on the comedy circuit, and has mentioned he's okay with women earning more than him.

I remember earlier in the year Anthony Joshua getting dragged on social media over made some questionable remarks he'd made in an interview a couple of years before. How his son could be a Jack the Lad, but not his niece. She should grow up to be a good woman as she'd be a wife someday.
