Just nosy!

Brunch booked at 10.45am

Would you have anything to eat beforehand?

If I was up at 7ish I’d prob have a slice of toast to keep me going.

Nothisispatrick · 22/12/2018 10:04

No, in fact if we’re going out for brunch I probably wouldn’t be up till 9ish

AntiHop · 22/12/2018 10:05

No. Just a coffee

BramRang · 22/12/2018 10:05

Genuinely depends how long I'd woken up beforehand.

I'd probably have eaten some fruit and yoghurt and had a coffee or two if I was going at 10.45, but I'd have been awake since 7ish so that's a fairly long stretch (for me) to go without eating.

Kikipost · 22/12/2018 10:06

Me too
Went for 10k run at 7
So hungry
Partner thought I’d faint on walk here!

Alarm at 6.15
One coffee
10k run at 7
2 teas
And now here and very much looking forward to poached eggs on toast!

Just have something small. There's no point in torturing yourself!

Kikipost · 22/12/2018 10:19

Wouldn’t describe bypassing a slice of toast so that you’re really ready for something to eat at 10.45 as depriving myself!

If I'd woken up at 9:30, no.

If I'd had the morning you describe, I'd eat something, because otherwise I would be at brunch HUNGRY and wanting people to hurry up and order and not chitchat for ages first.

I'd be better company if I ate something first.

Largepiecesofcrookedwood · 22/12/2018 10:26

In all likelihood I would have murdered someone by the time brunch arrived if I hadn't eaten earlier.
DH OTOH could cheerfully wait until lunchtime before eating anything

Ooplesandbanoonoos · 22/12/2018 10:28

Probably a packet of crisps lol

Justins · 22/12/2018 10:31

i usually wake up early, 5am so would probably have toast and coffee. Maybe an egg, too, so 11am is like lunch time to me most days.

If I woke up 8am upwards no unlikely that I would eat, I would just have coffee and go.

Rockbird · 22/12/2018 10:32

No, just lots of tea or coffee. I generally don't eat till that time anyway.

Justins · 22/12/2018 10:35

If I had your day I would at least have a banana but a lot of this is dependent on the person. I don't work out in the morning, I have never been the not hungry type in the morning, so some people aren't hungry in the morning anyway and then there is the issue of different appetites.

I'm surprised why you didn't eat an apple or something.

Me personally going there starving would make me grumpy and resentful of the brunch (aka HANGRY). i'd do brunch when I was childless and could have lie ins but now it's just an annoying meal that messes with my day.

ARiverInEgypt · 22/12/2018 10:40

I think the 10K run is a bit of a drip feed

SallyWD · 22/12/2018 11:07

No

Cuppateeee · 22/12/2018 11:28

If I got up that early I’d have defo have something before, but then again I’m always usually ready to eat!

FissionChips · 22/12/2018 11:31

No because brunch is breakfast and lunch together.

Then again, I wouldn’t do a 10k run, ever.

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 22/12/2018 11:38

Well by the time you get to eat you’ve been up nearly five hours and gone for a run? Then you’re having poached eggs on toast?

Not that I don’t like poached eggs on toast but yes you should be eating something else unless you’re having five eggs or aomething.

AwdBovril · 22/12/2018 11:40

No, just a cup of tea.

onestitchaway · 22/12/2018 11:43

Just a couple of biscuits with a tea. If I’d had your morning (which I don’t think I ever have Xmas Grin) I’d probably have a slice of toast or banana.

MrsChollySawcutt · 22/12/2018 11:43

No I wouldn't but then I wouldn't have been up anywhere near as early as OP or done the amount of exercise OP has done.

In your case you would be more than justified in having breakfast first.

JockTamsonsBairns · 22/12/2018 12:09

Then again, I wouldn’t do a 10k run, ever.

This! 😂😂

CountFosco · 22/12/2018 12:16

I'm starving when I wake up so definitely. I get up early (was up at 5pm today), and always exercise first thing so by 10.45 I'd be hungry even if I have my breakfast at 6am. And you're not going to get fed until 11.15 at the earliest if you're meeting at 10.45.

Sarahandduck18 · 22/12/2018 12:26

Biggest drip feed ever!
