zebedeetwinkle · 19/12/2018 14:49

I am running out of time and ideas to fill my kids stockings, three girls aged 6 and twins 4.

So far I have

  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • A Disney Doorable Surprise Pack
  • An LOL Fashion Crush thing
  • An LOL Bling Doll Ball

Any other ideas! Stockings are only half full!

makingmiracles · 19/12/2018 14:54

A dvd
A choc Santa
Hair bobbles/clips
A bath bomb
Novelty lipgloss/lip balm

Primark had cute cheistmas lipbalms, nice hair bobbles etc. I like the idea above of putting a cracker in. Some bubble bath would bulk it out too. Sounds silly but as a young child I got a tiny spinning top that if spun correctly it plays cheistmas kusic and lights up. Every year we all played with it, sad when it finally broke after 25 years of play!

OneStepMoreFun · 19/12/2018 15:07

I'd add
bubbles to blow
a kaleidoscope
a chocolate santa or reindeer
something for bathtime: bubble bath, bath crayons, rubber ducks etc
a fluffy, beaded or animal purse
a packet of plasticene
felt pens
fluffy pipecleaners or other craft stuff

NancyDonahue · 19/12/2018 15:09

A big bag of marshmallows and a bottle of matey bubble bath always helps to fill out the stockings.

ihatehoney · 19/12/2018 15:14

A satsuma/clementine (obviously!)
Little chocolate gift (Lindt bear maybe?)
New cool pens/pencils
Depending on the age a colouring book/adult colouring book or a cool notebook.
Again depending on age- new nice bra/underwear set.
Christmas stuffed toy.
Gift voucher for cinema/build a bear/day out/favourite shop?
Some earrings/jewellery.

ihatehoney · 19/12/2018 15:14

Sorry just saw their ages! Deffo no nice underwear sets 😂

BlackInk · 19/12/2018 15:15

I always put in something bulky like a fleecy blanket or animal cushion or duvet set. This year my DC are getting those microwave heat bag things - a spotty dog for DD and an owl for DS - both under £10 from TK Maxx...
Father Christmas gives either useful or inexpensive things at our house - pants, socks, pyjamas, felt tips, bath bombs, sweets. I try to choose useful things that DC will like - e.g. pants with favourite animal / character on.

BrieAndChilli · 19/12/2018 15:15

blind bags - shopkins, hatchimal collegtibles, lego figures etc
small beanie boo
pens/notpads/novelty rubbers etc
hair clips/bobbles
stickers
basically anything from claires/smiggle/build a bear

edwinbear · 19/12/2018 17:06

Slime! They all want slime this year.

Scotinoz · 19/12/2018 21:12

I have 5 and 3.5 year old girls...

The Works have loads of tat! Sparkly purses, Christmas kaleidoscopes, pens, colouring stuff etc. And I bought some 'Baby Secrets' in Sainsbury's yesterday (I'm sure the shelf price was £3 but they scanned at £1).

Art3mis · 19/12/2018 21:17

I went to B&M today. Got both my dds a funko for £4.99 each (My Little Pony and Baby Groot), some milkshake straw things, novelty American candies, lol surprise kinder eggs, fuzzy socks, glitter gel pens and slime tubs. Think I spent £30 all in and their stockings are pretty much filled.

moredoll · 19/12/2018 22:50

Try Poundland. It can be very useful.

Liveinthepresent · 19/12/2018 22:57

My additions to these are -
Squishees ( pack of 3 split between)
Animal sleep masks
Schleich collectibles
Sweets I don’t normally buy

puppymouse · 19/12/2018 22:59

Mine used to have an inflated balloon to fill space some years 🙈

StarShapedWindow · 19/12/2018 23:02

Every year I out a proper metal slinky in each DC’s stocking - always seems to keep them entertained but also always gets ruined by the New Year!
