What foods do you dislike that most people love?

I love food, but people who don't know me well sometimes think I am picky because I don't like...
Pasta. Of any kind. No noodles, spaghetti, or anything. It's the texture I'm sensitive to, it just makes me naucious.
Also not nearly as bad but I dislike lettuce. Absolutely love spinach though.

Peanut butter - even the smell makes me heave.
Coffee and walnut cake. Why?
Chocolate icecream - never had a nice one. Bleugh.
Praline.

Sproglets · 19/12/2018 12:56

Potatoes.
In any form.

Can’t stand them.

foxtiger · 19/12/2018 12:58

Cream (but not ice cream), gravy, smoked salmon, whisky, gin, bananas AND banana flavouring, strawberry flavouring (but not strawberries), normal tea.

chasingcloudsforever · 19/12/2018 13:00

Pigs in Blankets 🤮

AdamNichol · 19/12/2018 13:04

Beans. I forgot I hate baked beans (removed from my life so much, I forgot they exist!)

Smoked salmon. Actually not keen on any salmon, but eat fish happily; including sushi - so it's a bit annoying that most UK sushi is salmon

MyPatronusIsAnOrca · 19/12/2018 13:13

Sweet and savoury together. I cannot think of a single example of where I can tolerate it.

Sweet potatoes, parsnips, butternut squash. I think that’s because they’re quite sweet but are used as a savoury.

Goats cheese.

DameBurleyChassis · 19/12/2018 13:16

Mashed potatoes unless they’re part of cottage pie.

Anything with a creamy or cheesy sauce.

Artificial banana or berry flavours. Don’t like bananas in things, can only handle eating one if I choose it myself and can thoroughly inspect it before eating.

Parmesan cheese. Vile. Smells like sick.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 19/12/2018 13:17

Eggs especially the revolting yolk
Blue cheese
Goats cheese
Any kind of strong cheese really. Mature cheddar? Boak! 🤢
Brussels sprouts
Mustard, especially whole grain. Looks like it has nits in it.

Jsmith99 · 19/12/2018 13:24

Sweet, sickly drinks, eg Baileys. I like whiskey and I like cream, but not together.

shecamefromgreece · 19/12/2018 13:35

Cheese. Gone off cows breast milk? No ta you can keep it.
My family is Italian which makes things a bit trickyGrin

JustLetMeStapleTheVicar · 19/12/2018 13:35

Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They taste like oily perfume/soap, not to mention they're hugely overpriced. I'd rather have a bag of 70p-whatever Tesco jam doughnuts any day!

Mushrooms. I'd love to meet the person who first identified mushrooms as a viable foodstuff, then batter them into the next century - I'll exhume their remains if I have to. Who the FUCK looked at a mushroom and thought "Ooooh yeah, that looks delicious?"

American 'chocolate'. Enough said.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 19/12/2018 13:39

Bourbon biscuits and Oreos.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 19/12/2018 13:40

Oh yes, I don't like sponge type cake either, or doughnuts. It's the texture.

AllYeFaithful · 19/12/2018 13:48

Goats cheese

Lamb - always seems to be peoples’ favourite roast meat, but the snell nauseates me.

Creamy/cheesy sauces (Mac & cheese, cauliflower cheese, bechamel sauce etc).

YesIDidNameChangeForThis · 19/12/2018 13:54

Kidneys. Instruments of culinary torture.

Ladytinselmuff · 19/12/2018 14:22

Dumplings or dim sum - any type of 'uncooked'/wet/ pappy dough. Including freshly baked bread if it's warm / soft in the middle. I eat toast sometimes, just before it reaches the blackened and charred stage.Xmas Grin

Squatternutbosh123 · 19/12/2018 14:27

Salted caramel is disgusting, in fact anything caramel...adding salt just makes it even more unpalatable
Avocado, texture and taste all wrong
Fruit cake, heavy and sickly
Gammon, always salty regardless of who cooks it and how
Smoked salmon
Fresh tuna, love the tinned stuff
Cheese
Anything coffee flavoured that isn't actual coffee - so tiramisu, cake, trifle etc.
Eggy desserts like egg custard, crème caramel, crème brulee etc.

AdamNichol · 19/12/2018 14:30

Who the FUCK looked at a mushroom and thought "Ooooh yeah, that looks delicious?"

I always think this about vodka, not that I have an opinion either way on vodka. But someone found this liquid, smelt it and went "WTF, that smells like a 20yr urinal!" then went on to think "Wonder what it tastes like?"

bellinisurge · 19/12/2018 14:31

Blackcurrant.

Can I borrow your brain until I lose about 3 stone? Smile

ohwellinthatcasetryprunes · 19/12/2018 14:33

Porridge
anything involving the dreaded avocado
butternut squash
cinnamon

MummaGiles · 19/12/2018 14:35

Salmon. In any form.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 19/12/2018 14:36

Pastis de Nata custard tartlets.

BLEURGH.

Yes everyone wanks on about them. Beyond me.

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/12/2018 14:38

Rice pudding.
It looks and probably tastes like maggots swimming in cum.

MissMsMrs · 19/12/2018 14:42

Pork, cucumber, tomatoes
