I’m 47 and in urgent need of sorting out my face!!
Is the Protect and Perfect range any good?

I like it and usually get it when it's on a 3 for 2 and pick up their advanced anti wrinkle night cream. Kind to the skin and DH says I'm not aging! Bless.. plus has the added bonus of not smelling like a granny when I've slathered it over my face Hmm again, thanks DH.

They have a whopping offer on now. £150+ worth of stuff for £38. I bought it as its a real bargain. I have used it for a few years now and i love it. Great as i have eczema too and doesn’t aggravate it. The day cream is £25 alone so the rest is a bonus. Includes mascara and a lippy.

I'm crap at remembering to use creams etc but their facial sunblock is good.

plymouthmaid · 15/12/2018 15:53

That’s great.
It was the offer that has made me think about it.
Do you think it makes a difference to your skin?? I can’t really justify that sort of money on myself if it doesn’t really have any benefit.

I’ve tried a few things over the years but always come back to this. I like the way it feels on my face and after a couple of weeks I swear I DO notice a difference. However by that I mean the serum (any of them). I wouldn’t bother with the moisturiser as didn’t like that so much. Don’t get the offer just for the lippy etc- you’d be better off just buying a tube of the serum (IMO)!

The other thing that made a big difference was a retinol oil from The Ordinary (not expensive). I’m pregnant at the moment so not using it (due to vitamin a). It took a couple of weeks or so to kick in but it made my skin glow!

Greystar · 15/12/2018 16:23

I love it, but struggle to justify the cost also, I ask for it for Birthdays / Christmas or at least if someone asks what I want I say boots vouchers for it when I use it I do feel after a few weeks my skin is much nicer personally... thanks for the offer recommendation on this thread I've just purchased some more!

Greystar · 15/12/2018 16:24

Oh yes I mean the serum mostly also is the best! Smile

PurpleDaisies · 15/12/2018 16:25

I’m allergic to it. Very allergic.

If you’re an allergic type of person, try a sample first!

DoveSecret · 15/12/2018 16:32

Huge difference to my skin. Not dry and tight anymore. I don’t use anything else now. Given up on Clinique as this is as good and cheaper.

Im 44 and started to see huge changes. I started waking up to puffy eyes and their eye cream stopped that. I keep it in the fridge and put it on when i make my coffee in the morning!

Daisymay2 · 15/12/2018 16:34

I have treated myself to this offer for the last few years. I love the night cream and eye cream and think they have made a difference. I am not so keen on the day moisutriser. I also love the hot cloth cleaner and eye make up remover which were in last year's set as well. I have the lip balm which I have only just started to use since it started to be cold and windy, and it seems effective.
DS1 bought this year's for me yesterday!

DoveSecret · 15/12/2018 16:36

BTW the lippy and mascara are a bonus. There is no serum in this box. Day/night creams, eye cream, lip care, facial wash, moisture boost....

BIWI · 15/12/2018 16:36

I used this for years and I really think it helped. Unfortunately I have become allergic to it, after a couple of nasty reactions to insect bites, for some reason Confused.

Oliversmumsarmy · 15/12/2018 16:37

I have used this for years but they changed the recipe and I swear they have added hylaurinic acid to it.

Bought some a while ago and it took the skin off my face.

shirleyschmidt · 15/12/2018 18:01

Protect and Perfect is supposed to be very good but 'Lift and Luminate' is geared specifically for 40s-50s (protect and perfect is for 30s I believe). I have two aunts who swear by it.

Frenchmom · 15/12/2018 18:56

I used it for ages and then, like a previous poster, it started to take the skin off my face. Very disappointed as I really liked it.

WhyAmISoCold · 15/12/2018 21:34

I really like it. I think the only No7 stuff I don't like is the mascaras as they always seem to leave me with panda eyes.

Mumberjack · 15/12/2018 21:47

I’d recommend the no7 facial oil. I’d always been wary as thought oil equalled greasy face but if your skin feels dehydrated, put it on at night and wake up to good skin! I’ve taken to putting it on after a night out and actually look human even with a hangover

groundcontroltomontydon · 15/12/2018 22:01

Superdrug's B. range - esp the B. Nourished Night Cream - is ace. It's the only thing that makes my skin look and feel good. It doesn't smell brilliant but it does make a difference. It's usually half price or 2 for 1.

Oliversmumsarmy · 15/12/2018 22:48

Doesn’t the B cream have hylaurinic acid in it

WhyAmISoCold · 16/12/2018 00:11

I tried Superdrug's range and really didn't like their night cream. Too thick and heavy.

stargazer2030 · 16/12/2018 02:20

I love the Boots range - am in the Lift and Luminate age bracket now though. If I can't afford it Aldi is a decent secondo choice. Have used serum, eye cream and moisturiser and pleased with all of them.

Oliversmumsarmy · 16/12/2018 02:47

Most things now have hylauronic acid in and it takes the skin off my face.

I no longer use cream on my face.

A bit like when they stopped doing the hair dye that didn’t make my scalp bleed.

Why can’t they keep things the same

bella1426 · 16/12/2018 02:57

Love the lift and luminate serum. Expensive but I get it on 3 for 2 deals. Makes a big difference to my skin (can really tell when I run out and skip the serum stage) I'm 41

Oliversmumsarmy · 16/12/2018 03:22

I too used it for years and it was great.
