Worst: A cheap, useless, cotton tote with a utility company logo

Best: A hamper of chutneys and relishes.

mama1980 · 14/12/2018 16:27

Best: Champagne, I don't drink but my neighbour was thrilled 😁
Worst: a box of Mr Men tissues that ds won at his dance Christmas party - but in fairness they did make us smile.

GreenDinosaur · 14/12/2018 16:31

I won an amateur watercolour of some lilies, tempted to give it to MIL for Xmas Xmas Grin

DryAsThingysFootwear · 14/12/2018 16:32

A backpack adorned with sparkly butterflies...

Blacktoffeecat · 14/12/2018 16:34

A beer tour- you get taken by bus to 3 breweries and taste beer. For one person. If they want to do it with a friend (who does this alone?!) the cost for them is £70.
So in effect look generous by donating a raffle prize that no one is ever going to use Confused

PinkHeart5914 · 14/12/2018 16:35

Best= A voucher for a day at a spa (was top prize at some Xmas event for dh work in the raffle)

Worst = multipack of baked beans ( Charity raffle in the nearest town for Xmas, last prize I imagine/hope)

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/12/2018 17:27

The ticket for one on the beer tour reminds me of the "big" prize in the girls rugby team raffle.....a weekend for one in London :o

Apparently they couldnt afford to do it for two, the idea of one night in London (or a weekend somewhere cheaper) for two people clearly hadnt occurred to them Hmm

Best - a digital camera worth around £300

wheeltrims · 14/12/2018 19:53

My worst one was a single diet chocolate rice cake from a value brand multipack. Who on earth donates these things! Year before we ended up with a dust covered bottle of creme de menthe and a Greek bottle of Ouzo, clearly an unwanted gift from someone's holiday!

Millie2013 · 14/12/2018 20:05

Best = Elemis set

ChristmasWrappingTheWaitresses · 14/12/2018 20:08

also my 11 year old spent most of his pocket money trying to win me a bottle of champagne on a prize every time raffle. in the end the lovely lady running it took pity on him and swapped tickets over and gave him the champagne - which wasn’t actually champagne but basically lambrini in a fancy bottle. still i took one for the team and had a few glasses with my dinner!

ikltownofboothlehem · 14/12/2018 20:26

We've just won a box of shortbread and a Chocolate Coin Maker at DS's scouts xmas fair.

The Chocolate Coin Maker has a sticker on saying 'Best Before Sept 2009'.

Notso · 14/12/2018 20:44

A Baylis and Harding gift set that I donated because I didn't want it Hmm
Last year I won Panto tickets, it was two child's tickets each to be used with a full price adults ticket costing £25 each.
Also one a taster swimming lesson which was basically 15 minutes splashing for DC about and 30mins of hard selling for me.

Paddington23 · 15/12/2018 22:31

beardeddragon174 · 16/12/2018 09:19

Best: fancy bottle of Moet.

Worst: grubby hat and mitten set. It had the tag on still, but it smelled.
