I’m lacking this year. I’ve had some health issues and will be finding the results on Christmas Eve.

What gets you in the Christmas spirit?

I have a room full of presents to wrap and zero motivation Blush

What’s your favourite part of Christmas?

I’m all about those turkey and stuffing toasties after 🤩

Xmas music. I clean my house to classic Xmas tunes. Also love carols at candlelight.

DIEHARD IS NOT A CHRISTMAS FILM

Driving and seeing beautifully decorated houses..

Makes me smile

KeepServingTheDrinks · 13/12/2018 21:02

Being organised.... Knowing I've brought everything I need to buy and to have AT LEAST started wrapping.

I am a long way away from that this year!

I also like other people's lights and putting our tree up. But for various (puppy-related) reasons, we're not having a tree this year. I am gutted about this!

ScreamingValenta · 13/12/2018 21:03

Carols on Classic FM.

weegiemum · 13/12/2018 21:03

Christmas music is my main one but also food and the smell of mulled wine - which I'll be making on Saturday afternoon while we put up the Christmas tree!

I am very much not put in the mood my my over-the-road neighbour's flashing Christmas light display which includes light up polar bears and flashing blue stars as well as a searingly bright green neon strip round his gables which defuse the black out blind in our bedroom!

Leela2 · 13/12/2018 21:06

Turkey and stuffing toasties mmmmmmm what a genius idea

Misses point of thread completely

bumblebee39 · 13/12/2018 21:12

@Youmatter IT IS A CHRISTMAS FILM!!! There's a Christmas party happening during it!! I know you know it's a Christmas film

thugmansion · 13/12/2018 21:29

Shakin Stevens Merry Christmas Everyone did today. I desperately wanted to do a jig but done my back in so couldn't. Agree with Bigones seeing everyone's lovely decorations. There's a road near me where almost everyone has made an effort and it lovely to drive down. Also yes when shopping is done or nearly done and wrapping starts.

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 13/12/2018 21:36

The smell of little oranges - clementines/tangerines/mandarins you know what I mean.

All the pretty lights and Christmas trees in windows.

Youmatter · 13/12/2018 21:36

Yea you have to get on the turkey and stuffing toastie wagon. I don’t even care about the topic anymore I just want the food.

We use this old family family recipe. It sounds bland as fuck but I’m telling you it’s special.

Why did I mention it. Little piggy here has a craving

Satsumas and the Michael Buble Christmas album. I played it in the car on the way to work this morning and almost teared up when he started singing!

I'm clearly hormonal today Grin

rememberatime · 13/12/2018 21:40

The first time I hear Last Christmas on the radio

MalcolmsBrokenWalrusMoneybox · 13/12/2018 21:40

I missed FLIPPING SATSUMAS off the orangey list

Youmatter · 13/12/2018 21:45

You must never miss the humble satsuma

Meh, nothing much so far this year. The decorations are up, presents bought etc, and I've just spent the whole day having a wander around the Christmas Market with friends - overpriced seasonal drinks and all. I haven't got around doing any baking yet. The closest I've come to was having the first clementines of the winter.

Youmatter · 13/12/2018 22:02

Urgh. Christmas markets piss me off. Full of plastered happy people and others just walking around eating.

I need a seat. I’m not great at both. I will make a mistake

Advent calendar, Christmas lights, my tree being up and looking so pretty, Christmas cookery programmes. I played some of my Christmas playlist on the drive in to work today which made me feel very festive.

It doesn't take much to be fair, it's my favourite time of year, I love it Xmas Smile

Thatsalovelycuppatea · 14/12/2018 19:06

Feeling similar op. Been ill since last weekend. Now lacking motivation for even shopping and it's my favourite thing!
I have stuck a few films on to try and get me in the Christmas mood.

MiraculousMarinette · 14/12/2018 19:08

Christmas music and films, Christmas scents, decorations

Philomensapie · 14/12/2018 19:13

Christmas drinks and Christmas dinner appearing on the Sainsbury's café menu. Christmas jumper day. Putting decorations up. The school's Christmas concert. Buying Christmassy snacks: cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, mini egg bites, chicken bites, pork and cranberry sausage rolls, olives.

Visiting Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park and seeing Father Christmas with DS2. 💗
