I like it but other than pesto I don’t really know what to do with it

Anyone got a good recipe?

This is my favourite! I'd always made the mistake of boiling gnocchi until I got this recipe in my hello fresh box

I like chilli with gnocchi, nicer and quicker than rice.

Phoenixrise · 13/12/2018 09:32

I like it with fresh sage or thyme fried in butter, then a little bit more melted butter poured over

Spicy tomato sauce and Parmesan

Sethis · 13/12/2018 09:34

Pesto and Tuna for me. Takes all of 5 mins to make.

MyCatIsAFiend · 13/12/2018 09:34

Stir it (cooked) into warmed tomato sauce, top with mozzarella and bake for 10-15 minutes.

Pan fry with garlic oil and a whole red chilli sliced in two (stops chilli burning but you still get the heat IYSWIM?) and some chopped sun dried tomatoes. Top with grated Parmesan. Yum

YepImafraidIchangeditagain · 13/12/2018 09:41

You can put gnocchi on top of a shepherds pie, top with cheese and bake. This also works well with a chilli!

Flaked salmon, cream cheese, aioli and green veg mixed in is yummy too!

I do love a quick dinner of gnocchi, pesto and peas.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 13/12/2018 09:46

Def bake it, don’t boil!

Azelma · 13/12/2018 09:54

I sometimes have gnocchi with lightly smoked salmon fillets. Pan fry the salmon, then flake it up. Add a couple of spoonfuls of creme fraiche with lemon juice squeezed into it, then a handful of spinach to wilt in the pan. Add the cooked gnocchi (I always boil it; it's a revelation that it can be pan fried or baked, but will definitely be trying that), and give it a good stir.

shumway · 13/12/2018 09:58

I prefer it roasted and have it instead of roast potatoes.

Gorgonzola sauce - just mash some Gorgonzola into some crème fraîche over a low heat, not letting it boil as then the blue bits in the Gorgonzola go stringy.

recently · 13/12/2018 10:01

Slow cooked tomato sauce with aubergine. Add a chopped up mozzarella at the end and serve over gnocchi. Yum! Also melted gorgonzola with a little bit of milk whisked in, plenty of pepper, walnuts if you like - quickest meal prep ever!

ChanklyBore · 13/12/2018 10:03

I don’t cook it, just stir it into a big bowl of something else that is hot/cooked and a few minutes later serve it.

Last time it was stirred into slow cooked shin beef ragu

We are having it for dinner tonight. Quick, easy, tasty, makes a change from pasta.

Also, a delicious recipe that I can't find online with butternut squash and a lemon butter sauce

Simonsaysitschristmas · 13/12/2018 10:07

We make this..so easy but very tasty www.framedcooks.com/2016/07/gnocchi-bacon-spinach.html

ASqueakingInTheShrubbery · 13/12/2018 10:11

Spinach, mushroom and blue cheese sauce. No real recipe, I just stir things up until they look about right.

squeakyreptile · 13/12/2018 10:23

Peppers, red onion and tomatoes- oven bake or fry in olive oil with a red chilli per person (I use the 'Very Lazy' pre chopped chilli jar). Add to large work. Add freshly boiled gnocchi with a good slosh of olive oil Fry lightly to get the flavour of the veg and chilli on the gnocchi and for the gnocchi to be browned ever so slightly. Add a tub of marscapone (for a portion for two) and heat for a minute or so until marscapone is warmed. Place the whole lot on an oven tray and put under a hot grill for around 5 minutes until browned and crispy. Is amazing!!

formerbabe · 13/12/2018 10:25

I make a basil and tomato sauce...toss with the boiled gnocchi...lay in a dish, top with mozzarella and bake in the oven. Its delicious.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 13/12/2018 10:28

With some chopped mushrooms cooked in butter, goat’s cheese, a dollop of creme fraiche and some spinach wilted in.

Roominmyhouse · 13/12/2018 10:29

There is a recipe in one of the body coaches books for gnocchi with sausage ragu. It’s become a regular meal in our house.
