quick poll: how many women experience facial hair problem?

Feel like hair growing on upper lip, chin and neck is meant to be for men, not women. I'm in my 30s and did not have this before! How many women have this? Is it normal? I'm not heavily into grooming, bleaching, waxing, make up etc but I fear the general public cannot deal with what I have. Xmas Blush Is there something in the city water or is this naturally the next stage?

The second I hit 20 I grew a full beard but I do have pcos. I think its pretty normal, what with being mammals.

Sallygoroundthemoon · 12/12/2018 21:59

I have no facial hair but among my friends that's unusual. Most have to defuzz a bit.

90mammasophie · 12/12/2018 22:00

Nope not me. I'm very fair haired though.

LunaLovegoodsRadishes · 12/12/2018 22:00

I’m 41 and I use face hair removal cream for my upper lip. I get the odd thick isolated hair in my chin. I dig them out with tweezers whilst watching telly.

CupsAndPentacles · 12/12/2018 22:01

me. I'm always tweezing. I don't have pcos either. Not overweight. not particularly hairy or dark but hairs love to grow on my chin.

Ohyesiam · 12/12/2018 22:02

Me!

PorpentinaScamander · 12/12/2018 22:03

Me. It's getting worse. I am overweight though and have a lot of pcos symptoms. My 14 year old ds told me earlier I needed to shave my moustache Grin

lostvoice · 12/12/2018 22:03

Yup always
Lip as a teenager
In my mid 20s and find hair everywhere 🤦🏽‍♀️ even worse since having DD

HotSauceCommittee · 12/12/2018 22:03

Me. PCOS. I have to shave.

Thecomfortador · 12/12/2018 22:03

Have a good few hairs that I have to deal with, most from a couple of moles but alas more and more seem to protrude from normal skin. Not yet 40. I think it's probably more common than most realise.

Justmuddlingalong · 12/12/2018 22:03

Not so much a facial hair problem, but a bristle problem that a wild boar would be proud of. And not restricted to my face come to think of it.

Alarice · 12/12/2018 22:04

Three pubes that grow out of my neck Grin

ElfOnTheShelfAteMyJoy · 12/12/2018 22:04

It's the lovely thick thick white bristle that l'm cultivating now- it's delightful!

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 12/12/2018 22:05

PCOS? I have regular (though painful) periods however I have a lot of other symptoms so pushed for bloods and an unltrasound. This was despite two GPs initially refusing and making me doubt myself.

I've bought a Lumea and need to start using it! I'm hoping for good results - I have pale skin and dark, coarse hair Sad
Annoyingly the hair on my head is fine and thin.

Nanalisa60 · 12/12/2018 22:06

No facial hair at all I think I’m lucky!! A few of my friends have that down on there face.

ThinkOfAWittyNameLater · 12/12/2018 22:06

I have lots but also have pcos. I use my Gillette razor every day to keep the neck hair in check. Every now and then I have to pluck a stubborn one. Moustache upper lip gets waxed off once a month at same time I get my eyebrows tended to.

As for chin hairs I can only assume this comes with age. I know my late, great-aunt had to be immac'd on a weekly basis. They were bristly hairs and quite pointy.

OnlyonplanetMN · 12/12/2018 22:07

Me! I have PCOS though. Facial hair much worse since having second DD. I’m late 30s but possibly perimenopausal so hair everywhere!

Justmuddlingalong · 12/12/2018 22:07

And why do they grow to a length of about 2 inches between going to bed and getting up the next morning?

Hedgehogblues · 12/12/2018 22:08

I always have had. I could grow a beard if I wanted to

GoJohnnyGoGoGoGo · 12/12/2018 22:08

Me! Full on beard if unmanaged.

Hopskipjumping · 12/12/2018 22:18

Im 27 and pluck and thread my tash every few days. Have done forit about 4 years now.

Grandadwasthatyou · 12/12/2018 22:55

I would look like the bearded woman if I didn't pluck and epilate daily. Tried hair remover once on my chin and upper lip and felt it burning within seconds.

CIT80 · 12/12/2018 22:56

Since had a coil I could be in the greatest showman

ChesterGreySideboard · 12/12/2018 22:59

No moustache but I get amazing thick hairs on my chin.
Pulling them out it the middle aged equivalent of squeezing spots.

housewifeoflittleitaly · 12/12/2018 23:02

Me, hairy chin & fuzzy fluffy face. Horrible, Just pluck & wax regularly here not much else I can do.
