Have you received many Christmas cards?

Just wondering...extremely quiet on the Christmas card front here so far (we have about 5) and I can’t work out if it is us being less popular this year or whether it’s the general trend of fewer cards being sent. Does everyone have lots/hardly any?

3 so far, but I confidently predict a flood of them early next week. Smile

Pinkgin50 · 11/12/2018 19:04

I've only got 5 . I seem to send less every year though .

Leeds2 · 11/12/2018 19:07

I think I have about 6. Not many, but as I have stopped sending them myself (for the past two or three years) I can't really complain!

No not me.
Vicar DH has loads from parishioners and the kids ones are trickling in from school friends.

BagofTeeth · 11/12/2018 19:13

One yesterday, three today.

SantyClaws · 11/12/2018 19:14

One from an aunt. I've stopped sending them and no one noticed

catmon · 11/12/2018 19:18

just one

hmmwhatatodo · 11/12/2018 19:30

One. It still seems very early though.

ForgotTheBastardElfAgain · 11/12/2018 19:33

One. One from the neighbour. One

Kemer2018 · 11/12/2018 19:34

2

Stephisaur · 11/12/2018 19:34

8 so far. Ours have been distributed today.

I expect to receive more next week, it’s still quite early in December for a lot of people ;)

ChristmasFlary · 11/12/2018 19:36

None

picklemebaubles · 11/12/2018 19:37

Four.

Heyjudas · 11/12/2018 19:38

None. But I have never sent a Christmas card in my life. Usually my family will get me one which I get Christmas day with present, but no, I don't think I'll receive any. The only people with my address actually are my Mum, my Dad and one aunt.

Chewbecca · 11/12/2018 19:39

About 10. Definitely shrinking dramatically every year.

I send none now but DH has sent about 50 this week so we will probably start receiving some from folk who groan when ours arrives.

He is 50s, I am 40s, I think the age gap is the key here.

Justmuddlingalong · 11/12/2018 19:42
  1. I've sent about 30. There will be a serious cull next year.
A580Hojas · 11/12/2018 19:46

4 so far. Definitely fewer and fewer being sent year by year, which I find such a shame Sad. I am sure the price of postage is a massive factor.

We send and give out about 20-30 now, whereas it definitely used to be closer to 60 or 70.

wendz86 · 11/12/2018 19:46

None . I have sent some to family but don’t send many others .

Nononononono33 · 11/12/2018 20:09

I have only just sent mine so there may be a slew next week. I know my side of the family like to save on postage by distributing them all through my parents! I do like to send and receive cards, I don’t like the trend away from doing it.

EmmaC78 · 11/12/2018 20:12

None. I haven't sent and and none of my friends usually send them so am hoping not to get any.

Vinorosso74 · 11/12/2018 20:19

We have 5. DP's aunt is always the first to send a card with the latest arrival date of 1st Dec.
I do send cards but not loads-posted those I'd written today.

picklemebaubles · 12/12/2018 13:28

Three today, so it's ramping up...

ChocolateTearDrops · 12/12/2018 13:50

2 so far. I have relatives who seem to only send a card in return so this year I'm posting their cards on the last posting day before Christmas.

If they prove me wrong then they stay on the list next year. We'll see. Xmas Hmm

CloudPop · 12/12/2018 14:00

General trend I think. We've got loads less than usual

halcyondays · 12/12/2018 14:03

Only a couple so far. Probably get about 15-20 or so in the end, not including ones the dds get from school/friends
