Which site op? Got two on ticket master but seat level four. I take it that's not worth it?

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 07/12/2018 10:39

I had 2 tickets in my basket for London but at £130 I couldn't justify the expense to take one of my kids. He understands luckily (he has ASD so once he gets an idea in his head of something happening it can be hard for him to let go of the idea)

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/12/2018 11:34

I didn’t get a Single one for London Sad

Pomegranatemolasses · 07/12/2018 11:36

My sister got five tickets for Dublin - she's thrilled.

Figgygal · 07/12/2018 12:19

Pomegranate she's so lucky!!

I had one on ticketmaster and one on ticket factory that one was after it was sold out and then suddenly I could get in again but only for singles

The prices on some of them though Shock

You know they arent really sold out. The sellers have just bought rebought them in their many disguises and now have them on re-sale. the sooner this is brought under control the better for all of us.

alfagirl73 · 07/12/2018 14:12

I got a decent ticket for Birmingham but my god it was stressful! I wanted Manchester but it was sold out at about 9.01am! Had both B'ham and Manchester up on separate devices and just grabbed the best seat available. Tickets went like lightening for these shows.

MumOfDiamonds · 07/12/2018 14:20

I managed to get 4 tickets for manchester. Attempted ticket master and their site really couldn't cope so I went on to AXS at about 9:10 and was put in a queue.....managed to get 4 seats together at the back high up. It's mainly for my 2 DC, DD10 and DS14.....both love musical theatre and actively take part so this is going to be a dream coming true for them. Can't wait to see their faces when they open their card.

alfagirl73 · 07/12/2018 14:24

Glad you got tickets - I got mine through AXS in the end - Ticketmaster was in meltdown.

Redcrayons · 07/12/2018 14:29

No. I had a docs appointment at 9 and it was all sold out by the time i got back. Cant do £300+ for platinum seats. Sad

Greycat11 · 07/12/2018 15:32

I got two tickets for London after a couple of false starts. Was so stressful and I've spent a lot more than I planned. But it's Hugh Jackman so couldn't not Grin

InglouriousBasterd · 07/12/2018 15:35

Oh wow. Got 2 on Wednesday for 02 with no troubles (using priority)

SpaceDinosaur · 07/12/2018 15:38

I am so fucking sick of bots and bastards buying all the tickets for gigs to sell on at inflated prices.

It's supposed to be illegal

trulybadlydeeply · 07/12/2018 15:42

Managed to get 3 for London. Was stressful as I was queuing on different devices for different days, but did it! Price was extortionate, but DS3 will absolutely love it.

frogsbreath · 07/12/2018 15:54

I didn't even try. At work and knew nothing would be left by the time I could get my phone out to buy.

Can't afford the resale prices Angry

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/12/2018 15:56

They’ve released more London tickets

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 07/12/2018 16:21

Thank you! I checked and managed to get cheaper tickets for another date. DS will be ecstatic!

Figgygal · 07/12/2018 16:23

they have released tickets for a matinee on the day we are going which is bank holiday Monday at end of May.......why not release all the dates at once so you can plan properly we could have done that instead!! Now i have shit tickets that i cant sell on most likely as they are singles when could have gone earlier in day.

I think they released more London tickets too a friend got some eventually.

alfagirl73 · 07/12/2018 16:27

They've announced a second Manchester show too.

HarrySnotter · 07/12/2018 16:30

Got 4 for the O2. Don't know what happened - logged on and got them straight away, which is a first.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/12/2018 16:40

Glad that helped someone! You can normally tell where extra dates will be put on by the dates of the shows, if there’s 5/6+ days between the last Manchester show and first London (for example) then you can pretty much guarantee that extra Manchester shows will be put on! (I’m a seasoned ticket buyer!!)

Unfortunately the only affordable tickets for London are the top top tier and my DM (who I would take) suffers with vertigo and then they seem to go right up to £150+ each! Gutted!

MsSquiz · 07/12/2018 18:31

DH got us 2 tickets for Manchester.
I totally forgot they went on sale today, but he managed to get them at about 11.30am

Managed to persuade him that I need an early birthday present! Grin

ForalltheSaints · 07/12/2018 18:37

Another example of how there should be some regulation for large venues' ticket sales, perhaps tied to the venue licence.

I commend the practice of the Marylebone Cricket Club and their ticket ballots as a better way.
