Does anyone have a Revlon pro collection salon one step hair dryer and volumiser and what are your opinions of it? I'm looking to buy one but they've now gone up to almost £70! Is there anyway that sells them for less (around £35ish) or a sale coming up? Or is there something simular out there which is just as good for the same price?

Hi, Like you, I've been looking at this. I have it down between three products:
The Revlon Pro Collection Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumiser RVDR5222
The Babyliss Big Hair Care Hot Air Styler (the purple one with the sensor)
and The Babyliss Diamond Big Hair Dual, which has Replaceable Brush Heads - 50 and 42 mm

All things considered I think the Revlon might be the best one, there is less to go wrong (it doesn't rotate), it's 800 watts, and my hair is very long, I'm not sure I trust a rotating head like the Big Hair. I'm hoping some more users come on board and let us know what they think of it, but I'm fairly ready to go for it myself. Now looking for a good price, but £69.99 seems to be the cheapest they come except on eBay, which I never buy from because I don't trust it, lol :-)

Sorry, it looks like the price has gone back up to £59.99. Hmm

rosyvalentine · 05/12/2018 07:45

It's on offer at Boots.com for £39.99 at the moment!

Chickenwings85 · 05/12/2018 12:47

Thank you so much Grin

Boots only have the flat brush one, which looks pretty useless. The oval brush is the one that will smooth and volumise the hair.

I've been obsessively watching vlog reviews of it for weeks now but I already have a Dyson hairdryer so I can't really justify it Sad

Chickenwings85 · 05/12/2018 13:31

Ah yes just seen it's not the one I'm after. I originally wanted the Dyson but I can't afford the price tag so the Revlon looks the next best thing

OP posts:
catpigg1 · 05/12/2018 18:38

I am not so sure about the Dyson. I'm extremely disappointed with my new Dyson vac. It seems cheaply made compared to my old one and it cost soooo much, I think I'll look elsewhere next time.

First I bought the handheld one, which they told me was good enough for general use, but it was not and needed taking apart for cleaning so often I got fed up and bought a full blown one, which cost a lot and I'm not pleased at all with it.
On YouTube I saw a lot of reviews of the Dyson curl brush that were not complimentary, for me, I would rather have the Revlon and use the other £450 to buy something else or just save the money.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for another deal and if I see one I'll post it here.

Thanks for this Chicken - I nearly bought this yesterday (at around £50)! I’m delighted!!

wizzywig · 05/01/2019 09:32

It was promoted in the daily mail. I think thats why the prices are fluctuating

wizzywig · 05/01/2019 09:35

Odd, it shows as deal of the day at £29.99 but wont add to my basket

hermionelodge · 05/01/2019 09:36

It's showing as deal of the day at £28.99 but when I add go basket it's going back up go £58.99, is anyone else having this issue? I have been looking at this for weeks also so really want to buy at the deal price!

wizzywig · 05/01/2019 09:55

Yes hermione and amazon arent honouring the deal! Just spoke to customer services. Surprised as they are usually really good

Doonewanker · 05/01/2019 09:55

hermione - no, mine just went through at £29.99 from the start. Weird.

wizzywig · 05/01/2019 09:56

Doonewanker · 05/01/2019 09:56
