... and so I'm bringing you an "Advent calendar" with a scene or two each day of what the Playmoland people are getting up to in the run up to Christmas.

Today in Lowbeach-on-Sea, Marta and her son Franz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

I My dcs loved Playmobil when they were little, unfortunately had to sell a fair bit of it when they got older as didn't have enough storage room. Had loads of stiff.....the zoo , hospital and fairy castle ...but kept the polar explorer set...I'm coming over all sentimental now seeing this thread

danni0509 · 11/12/2018 10:26

I absolutely love the carousel one going round!

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2018 12:30

Stopyour, we sold ds's Lego, but kept the Playmo, as he still used it until he was about 15. I don't have room for it all in the house, so most of it lives in the summer house in the garden.

Bloodybridget, that is so not what I do for a living! Grin

Today it's still snowy in Lowbeach-on-Sea, and in Eastgate Park, Johann and Brigitte are helping their son Noel make a snowman.

Friedrich, Klara, Franz, Emil, Noel, Johanna and Fritz have built a snow fort, and are now having a snowball fight.

Lovely snow scene! Do you actually remember all their names, or do they have tiny labels inconspicuously placed?

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2018 12:56

I have lists! Although quite a few of the people I have used a lot, I can remember anyway. But we have hundreds altogether, I'd never remember them all.

Look at that snow! It looks fabulous Smile

sharke · 11/12/2018 14:33

I was going to ask about the names Grin

Love love love this, OP.

AviatorShades · 11/12/2018 15:29

I was going to ask about that snow!Smile

It looks so pristine white, did you buy a Special White Sheet to create this Playmo arrangement or may I ask, which washing powder you use?Grin
And a secondary question - did you iron your sheet?Shock

Right! Back to catch up...

AviatorShades · 11/12/2018 15:35

I really love the snow fort, the snowmen, and the snowball fight!

(and in real life, it was the arrival of the White Stuff which made me trudge through it to work, resign with immediate effect, and bugger off to live in a hot country where snow never, ever, fellGrin)

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2018 15:35

The sheet came from John Lewis, but is a spare sheet for guests so doesn't get regular use, which is probably why it's so white! I would have ironed it after last time I washed it, but didn't iron it after taking it out of the drawer, hence the creases where it has been folded! Grin

AviatorShades · 11/12/2018 15:41

Those creases really came into their own for the slalom scene - serendipity lives OKGrin

donajimena · 11/12/2018 15:46

Ah what a lovely thread. Smile

streakofmalevolence · 11/12/2018 20:40

From a hard hearted cynic...thank you so much
One of the first things I do,is open this thread

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2018 22:07

I'm pleased to hear so many people are enjoying it! I've spent a lot of time creating these scenes, but it's so worth it when I hear that people enjoy looking at the advent calendar every day.

I love hearing everyone's comments and questions! Smile

It's busy in the Post Office in Lowbeach-on-Sea, with people posting their Christmas cards and parcels. Postman Ben has just emptied the post box.

Marta and Renate stop for a chat after posting their items, while Andreas posts his family's Christmas cards and Alison the counter assistant serves Brigitte and Noel, who want stamps.

SnugglySnerd · 12/12/2018 12:37

I am having a lousy week and this has cheered me up every day. Thank you.

KnittingSister · 12/12/2018 14:34

They're working hard in that post office! Looks really busy Smile

openupmyeagereyes · 12/12/2018 18:03

I went to the post office today myself, I hope their trip wasn’t as expensive as mine!

Still loving it Xmas Grin

FuzzyCustard · 12/12/2018 18:08

Our village post office looks much like this (especially the people stopping to chat) but definitely with less snow!

ForalltheSaints · 12/12/2018 18:23

I think that some of those in the post office may have missed last posting date.

openupmyeagereyes · 12/12/2018 18:25

I definitely missed the last posting date for Aus Xmas Blush
