It's the Christmas season for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so I'm bringing you an "Advent calendar" with a scene or two each day of what the Playmoland people are getting up to in the run up to Christmas.

Today in Lowbeach-on-Sea, Marta and her son Franz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

That is some lodge! Lowbeach-on-sea's planning committee could have a field day deciding whether that can be built.

We all know we're not supposed to but is there any way we could have a whip round for an early Christmas present for playmoland? - a pound each? - I know you weren't asking for that OP.

Those mountain rescue shots were gripping. I hope Ulrike doesn't have to spend too long in hospital.

KnittingSister, I've done some extra hours this month, so maybe in January I could treat the residents of Lowbeach to a winter holiday home...

I'm sure they'd love that. I did also see a cruise ship...
I know I'd be happy certainly to pay at least £1 for entry to the exhibition with all the pictures on display

SoMuchToBits please make sure that Lowbeach residents have paid their rent and bills before swanning off on holiday don't let them go without heating for our benefit

I considered the cruise ship for a honeymoon for the Royal wedding couple, but couldn't justify the expense either after all the other new sets I bought for that . But it does look really good!

I do like the sound of a cruise, there could be a murrrderrr... and DC Playmobil could solve it!

KnittingSister, I'm sure that Playmobil at one point made a Sherlock Holmes figure. He could solve a murder I'm sure. We also have a great many police officers. They'd be useful in that sort of situation...

We own a lot, demented! Ds was an avid fan of Playmobil from when he was 5 up until he was about 15. He will be 18 tomorrow!

I have added a bit to the collection this last year or so, just so that I could post the Royal wedding threads this year, and the Playmo advent calendar.

Some of the sets we have had for years come in useful even when you don't expect it! For example, many of the winter people I think we have had since about 2009/2010.

This thread is the highlight of my morning at the moment - I love it OP

Today Norman the Foreman's mates are helping put up his Christmas tree outside his portakabin.

The tree is now lit up, and Norman and his mates enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Good old Norman, not seen him on a thread for a while.

brizzle, Norm was a guest at the Royal wedding in October, so he was in one or two of the photos then.

Norm has been with us for 12 years today - it's ds's 18th birthday, and he received Norman in the portakabin set as a 6th birthday present!

I loved the storyline which sucks you in on the first two skiing sessions then escalated When poor Ulrike fell. Hope she will be out of hospital in time for Christmas.
