... and so I'm bringing you an "Advent calendar" with a scene or two each day of what the Playmoland people are getting up to in the run up to Christmas.

Today in Lowbeach-on-Sea, Marta and her son Franz are putting up their Christmas decorations.

Omg this is superb. I missed the original threads assuming they were some old blather about the price of Playmobil these days, or someone's DC has a playmobil light sabre stuck up his or net nose. But no .., it's a thrilling creative funny thing and I have the pleasure now of locating previous threads and binging the lot.

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 18:23

Grin bucking!

shouldI, Natalie should be able to go home before Christmas if she's got family to help and not too many stairs to negotiate as she'll go home with crutches. And yes, most hospitals have Wi-Fi these days...

Sorry, that should have been Shouldwe, not I!

Can one of them accidentally get pissed Ulrike while dosed up in painkillers? She could wreck the turkey 😂

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 19:42

Haha! I don't think I have a Playmo turkey (or even a chicken), so maybe not. And I do want HAPPY scenes on Christmas Day...

Plenty to look forward to over the next few days...

I know about someone who broke a foot on Christmas Eve by dropping a frozen turkey on it!

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 20:03

Well, that's a bit more original than slipping over in the ice for an injury! Grin

I hope that Beany Hill doesn't have a landslide!

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 20:30

I don't think it will... or an avalanche...

@SoMuchToBits YAYYYYYYY!

@squashyhat I suspect OP is an Arthur Ransome fan and so am I. Shall we call you Timothy from now on?

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 20:46

Thank you Alpaca, good to see you!

Yes, both ds and I are AR fans. I read all the books as a child and introduced them to ds. I'm rubbish at sailing though (but like being on boats), but ds is really good at it and loves it!

I am so glad I found this thread. I recently lost someone close to me and I'm struggling to gee up for Christmas with my three kids. But this truly has put a smile on my face and reminded me of the hours of play mine have had with our box of jumbled up Playmobil.
It's wonderful how you've done it and quite sweet in a world where Christmas can seem quite stressful. This is like my own little advent Calander and I'm excited for the next one Smile

SoMuchToBits · 06/12/2018 20:52

That's lovely, gunge, I'm pleased it's made a difference. I have just had a lot of fun putting the scenes together!

Have been collecting together various bits of Playmobil this afternoon, ready for more photos at the weekend. Now the spare parts have arrived, I think I have everything I need! Although people on this thread keep coming up with new ideas...
