What are you buying your MIL for Christmas?

Cos I'm all out of ideas....

She has a Christmas birthday as well. She gets a box of biscuits for one and chocolates for the other. She is impossible to buy for, doesn't go out, can't get in the bath and has plenty of 'stuff'.

Previous presents have been passed back to us later in the year so I've learnt not to do more than biscuits or chocolates. May possibly do a calendar too.

Slippers, Perfume and naice bath stuff.

She's normally so focused on the kids/grandkids that she doesn't buy herself treats and loves all these things.

Makes Christmas shopping easier we just talk to the rest of the family and divvy it up so she gets all her favourite stuff.

We did get her a purse last year, but she asked for that and she can't get to the shops to get one herself.

She is nuts about dogs so got her some cute dog socks, a book by a favourite author and a little carved box.

Nothing this year, as we only buy for the Christmas’ we spend with them - halfway around the world so too expensive to post!

For my mum, I’ve gone for a No7 skincare gift set.

I came up with the idea but DH is sorting it out.... afternoon tea for two (MIL & FIL).

My MIL is on a plastic free crusade at the moment and is very 'anti waste', so instead of a gift that she probably doesn't want i have bought her a Virgin experience day instead.

Jo Malone Perfume and body cream.

DMIL is in a home suffering from dementia so we will take her a couple of new warm tops on the day and take some Christmas decorations about a week before Christmas.

What the hell is that? A paperweight?

An autobiography of the film star she was named after. She loves a good read, is nosey as hell about other people's lives and has all the films because we bought them for her last year.

Oh and a bloody huge poinsettia. She loves them!

@Icepinkeskimo, I think you must be my sister in law because we definitely have the same MIL.
DH 'looks after her', in every bloody sense of the word. If I was buying for her it would be a one way ticket to Alaska. Cow

@Offredismysister it's a crab about the size of my hand stretched out. My star sign is Taurus and I have no interest whatsoever in glass or crabs!

She will be getting her son back at this rate!
