Actors who you see in everything?

I don't even watch that much television(too busy reading fanfic and watching nonsense on YouTube)) but I feel as though I'm being haunted by Andrew Scott and Jim Broadbent. They're in so many shows and films that I've been watching, especially Mr Broadbent.

Are there any actors that you see everywhere?

I love those character actors who turn up in everything!

We were haunted by Mark Bonnar for a time..

ginghambox · 29/11/2018 15:37

Bloody Idris Elba, he seems to be in/ ruin every film made in the last 10 years

ISpeakJive · 29/11/2018 15:39

Samuel L Jackson wins this hands down!

Imnotswallowingthat · 29/11/2018 15:41

For a while it was Sheridan Smith, my friend used to say "she gets where water can't".

Jasonmendoza · 29/11/2018 15:46

Toby Jones

David Tennant, Idris Elba, Samuel L Jackson.

I like Samuel L tho. Idris is over-rated I don't know why he's being pushed as some great actor/sexiest man alive blah. He's not, on either of those counts.

Oh, and Holly Willoughby if that counts. Just, too full-on/too much. It's boring

TheDustbunny · 29/11/2018 15:53

Oh yes, I've seen a lot of Toby Jones too.

Micheal Sheen - only ever has small parts because he's not handsome, but has a very expressive, character face so pops up in lots of things.

HildaZelda · 29/11/2018 16:08

Rosie Cavaliero is popping up in everything at the moment. Rather unfortunate as I can't stand her.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 29/11/2018 16:09

I've just looked up Toby Jones, and he's been in lots of things that I've seen too. He is the quintessential ordinary, kindly man who is at the same time vaguely sinister and will turn out to be a wrong 'un.

romany4 · 29/11/2018 16:25

Mark Strong.
But I love him so it's always nice when he pops up

dustarr73 · 29/11/2018 16:28

Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller where everywhere a few years a go.Seriously got sick looking at their mugs

KurriKurri · 29/11/2018 17:36

Keely Hawes pops up a lot - but I like her, so I'm quite happy with that Grin

LilMadAgain · 29/11/2018 17:39

Doug Bradley 😏 but on one of those occasions he had a Welsh accent so I don't mind.
Samuel L and Morgan Freeman I tend to see popping up everywhere, no complaints on either count.

buckingfrolicks · 29/11/2018 17:51

HughBonneville is a common sight.
Won't mind if I never see Mr Tennant ever again.

WhoGivesADamnForAFlakeyBandit · 29/11/2018 18:00

I tend to get Toby Jones and Jason Watkins confused so think he's in more things than he really is.

Also, there was a bloke in the same hotel as us last summer who liked really familiar. I couldn't think where I knew him from and whether I was being rude by not going and saying hello - I compromised by going for a nod every time I saw him in the restaurant and yesterday I was looking at The Last Kingdom IMDB to work out what else Alfred had been in and the Hotel Guy was only an actual actor from the Last Kingdom and the Crown. So I spent a week nodding at someone from the telly thinking I used to work with them Hmm Grin

FoodGloriousFud · 29/11/2018 18:01

Eddie Marsan for us!

applesauce1 · 29/11/2018 18:02

Samuel L Jackson didn't even start appearing in films until he was in his 40s, and he still manages to be in hundreds of films a year. [citation needed!!]

creamcheeseandlox · 29/11/2018 18:07

Olivia Coleman.

gladiatorgirl · 29/11/2018 18:23

It's funny though, you see the same actors all the time for a few months then they disappear for a while to be repalced by others who seem to fill the gap in the same way then they disappear etc etc......
Or is it just me seeing this?

thannyflaps · 29/11/2018 18:36

Any film that has a British setting seems to include Julie Walters, Jim BroadBoob, Hugh Bonerville these days

Highlandmary · 29/11/2018 18:37

Her who was Ruth in spooks.

Miggymoggymugwumps · 29/11/2018 19:35

Talking of Spooks... Nicola Walker she seems to have been in lots of things over the past few years!

dustarr73 · 29/11/2018 21:49

@gladiatorgirl was coming on to say the same thing.

Anasnake · 29/11/2018 21:52

Stephen Graham. Love him though
