Do you love coffee?! What do you use at home?

I had a Nespresso machine for years and then the environmental guilt got too much. So it’s gone and I’ve been using ground coffee and a cafétière. So sad. Sad Haha! Obviously this is a first world problem! What do you use? A proper press? A bean to cup machine with in-built grinder? I miss having the crema layer and that proper smooth coffee taste!

Bean to cup machine. I’ve got the Miele CM6300. It’s great as it’ll do everything from espresso to cappuccino. The milk frothing function is fab; it makes a perfect hot chocolate-whenever my dc hear me turning on the machine they’re lining up with their mugs and mini marshmallows!

Only thing I worry about is that it’s a bit fancy for its own good-it reminds me of the dad’s inventions in Gremlins. It makes very peculiar noises at times and I’m always a little worried it’s going to go catastrophically wrong one day.... 😄

I don't drink coffee but DP is obsessed with the stuff. It's practically a religion here on Canada. He has several cafetière/French press things, 2 or 3 stovetop jobs, an Aeropress and a Keurig machine that takes pods. His pride and joy though is a bean to cup Breville barista machine that cost an eye watering (to me as a non coffee person) $500. He has a monthly delivery of beans from a place called JJ Bean in Vancouver which costs $50 for 2lb. It's an expensive addiction but it keeps him happy 😄
